This is the first year I’m growing cannabis. It‘s my brother and I. We grew 2 Bubba Sis, and 2 Bearcreek Cush. 1 Bearcreek completely died, but the other one did ok. It was so hot this summer, that I didn’t really check on the plants closely. I would fertilize them every one in a while. I lost interest in the plants because my brother is the one that gets to smoke it, not me. If I wasn’t a Navy Civilian, I would smoke a little myself to help me sleep. Anyway, today I got interested in harvesting a Bubba Sis, and noticed mold on some of the buds. Can I just remove the mold area’s and dry the rest. One bud has mold but the tip looked okay, but right next to the mold. Is it okay to smoke the tip?

Cut the mold out and throw away, spray the area with hydrogen peroxide mixed with some water

I told my brother in the beginning that our first grow could be a total wash. We live in Eastern Virginia, so it's very humid here. He's having a little bit of a hard time dealing with it, but I did tell him it's bad for his health to smoke it. Learning experience. Next time I have to not be lazy and check the buds up close and deal with the bud rot or mold at an early stage if possible. I may try an indoor grow, but I need to buy the supplies first.
