Monkey Pox

As usual there's conflicting info coming out. First reports said it looked close to a 2018 sample without much change, now reports are coming out saying the opposite. This morning I'm reading reports that say it looks like a new variant with so many changes it's highly abnormal. DNA viruses are suppose to be very stable with genetic change coming very slowly, the amount of change claimed would be very unusual. There are even claims of it being airborne and that some people may be asymptomatic, two things that are not normal for monkey pox. I don't know if this more disinformation to cause chaos or if it's real, time will tell.

Monkeypox outbreaks in Canada and worldwide signal shift in behaviour of virus

It doesn't look too serious and we have vaccines, personal hygiene and social distancing should deal with it along with ring vaccinations. If it does become a problem, then young people won't be so vaccine resistant, only 1% die, but most of the survivors are horribly scared with their skin full a pits. The first post infection pictures of the young and formerly beautiful on social media will take care of vaccine resistance pretty quick! This ain't covid.

Politics stewing in a unflushed toilet, insane inflation,a pandemic that keeps throwing curveballs, rates shooting up and very little masking in NEast, nobody gives a FK in public to my eyes,a vicious, barbaric war in Europe, and now add a monkey pox scare REALLY,OH and the mass random shoot em ups still occurring at weekly intervals,ANY GOOD NEW OUT THERE?

Maybe ,but I wouldn’t bank on it. Disfigurement and horror ads haven’t stopped cigarettes, meth etc

It's popping up all over the planet so it deserves a thread. I believe it's covid related along with the hepatitis in children. Covid damages all the bodies systems including the immune system and that opens the body to other viruses, bacteria, fungus, cancer, you name it, like the black fungus attacking lungs in India.
is covid something like HIV?

Freedumb! They should be free from big guberment to rub their pustules all over you!

Really, one way to solve America's problems is through biological civil warfare, ya already know who won't take the vaccines...

Notice the date.

They do have early warning systems in place now, the ones Trump pulled out of and have been on the look out for the next candidate. Respiratory viruses are the most contagious and the biggest threat. We learned a lot with covid, when you get hammered you usually learn something.

If covid was started accidentally in a Chinese lab, it is sure coming back to bite them on the ass now. The problem with biological weapons is lack of control, you must vaccinate your own population and hope it doesn't mutate. Then if you killed off the entire planet, except for your own people, what would your economy look like? This is just looking at it from a pragmatic point of view, aside from the other "issues" of living in a global graveyard.

I'm pretty sure only people born after 1973 are getting it-that's the cutoff year for mandatory smallpox vaccinations in the USA. WHAT!! A vaccine mandate eradicated one of the banes of human existence!! SORCERY! Anyway, we forgot that our little monkey brothers still carried the pox...
