Because the reflector builds up heat and directs it towards your plants, without a reflector the heat doesnt stay, you can look at Heath Robinsons vertical grow (Critical mass tree grow) he tells you all about the advantages of vertical... Once i get enought room to do a vert grow i will...


By the way, the bulb will still create heat, just not as much as it would with the reflector...

UPDATE

Day 5 of flowering.

Everything is going good except I am having some trouble with some yellowing. I just started feeding 4 days ago and they get fed one day and water the next day. My ph was a little high out of my city tap water like 8.0. My girl friends house runs on well so I got some water from her and it was 6.5. I put my nutrients in and it was like 6.3-6.4. So thats alot better, Ive been feeding them with 1/4 strength AN micro, grow, and bloom. Any advice on how to get my plants nice and green again. I know it's probably nitrogen defiency but how would I go about fixing this the right way?

The blue venom is lookin awesome!!! is it the biggest plant out of the oldest 4?!

Also, i dont think that is nitrogen defficiency, it was probably from the high ph water..

Your plants wouldnt be as green as they are if it was nitrogen defficiency

Thanks Wemp, you seem to be the only one keeping up to date. I appreciate that. The blue venom is doing amazing and same with the white berry. Blue venom is the biggest and bushy as hell. I am so excited about this grow, I have pretty much everything perfect this round and want to produce some good smoke. I can't believe how big they are getting for only 5 days into flowering. They'll probably end up being 3 feet and bushy as fuck.

My goal is 1lb of bud off 9 plants, I have 11 now but to skunks have to go because if I get caught in my state charges are ALOT lighter if you have 9 and under.

So 1lb of bud off 9 plants = 49.7gs per plant which I think I can do. Do you guys think thats to much? I am just guessing obviously there is no way to ever know what anybody is going to yeild but I am guessing 1lb.

Yeah no problem man, i am interested in this grow, especially since i just started my blue venom :)

Yes they have gotten much bigger the past week.

Im not sure how much you will get off of them its kind of hard to guess this early in, but it all depends on how well you do it ;) All i know is no matter how much yield you get, its gona be some pretty damn good smoke.

lookin good my dude! wemp was right keep an eye on that ph but they look very healthy! i think u might do about half a lb but if u do the do u might just get that P :mrgreen:

Had a rough day yesterday so did the plants. One of our friends owed my best friend money like alot and he wasn't paying so we stole his qp. He went home got his dad and came to my house telling my dad I grow. I mean it was a bunch of horse shit we're all over 20 and it was strictly business. Anyways my dad didn't beleive his dad because im stealth lol. I had to cut my lights off for a few hours while this whole thing was happening, didn't seem to stress the plants to bad but we'll see. Hope they don't go hermie. In the end dude was saying hes going to call the cops if I didn't give him his qp back for my growing. So i said fuck it and took a 1/4 out and gave it to him. He's all good with it now and understands why it took place. Been over a year with no payment and shit like that. Oh well he got what he deserved, I just need to keep it on the DL DL like now for a while.

Anyways here's some pics of the ladies.

Flowering day 9

I added foam boards to the door and part of the wall, going to be adding more to help with noise. I also took a 6inch to an 8inch duct soild metal connects and fill the 8inch part with great foam and connected it to my inline fan exit. To help sound. My shit is super quiet now.

Anyways pics show front of pot for name of plant and any pic after that is that plant till another name shows.

Sorry for rambling just high.

Nice idea on sound proofing the door also..

Yeah their doing awesome, They already showed signs of sex (the bigger ones) already starting to form pistils at the top cola area and more and more everyday/

Perfect climate with co2 = very nice.

Anyways I have to go to lowes tomorrow and get some more foam board and some damp rids cause my humidity is a little high.

Just took some clones I know it's kind of late to do so, but buddy asked for some so i thought id give it a shot. I put them in 16oz solo cups, used root tech for the cloning, watered right after with ph 6.5, fox farm soil. Figured I can make 15 bucks a clone.

Took 2 white berry, 2 skunk, 2 blue venom, 2 white widow, and 2 afghan kush.

Hope they root some extra dough if they do.

Here are some pics, didn't feel like dragging them all out ill do that friday when they woman is here to help. Hope the clones take root. The picture of the two plants alone are white widow on left and blue venom on right. Both are about 1 foot tall and bushy as hell. Put up some more foam boards for noise and it helped out a ton and no damage to the walls which is awesome. Also picture of the damp rids I got they suck the moisture out of the air to lower humidity levels in the room and they work awesome.

Overall I plan on only having 9 in about a week, i have 18 now. Plan on selling them to my buddy (clones and to skunk seedlings out of the three).

Thanks guys, their doing real good, growth has slowed but they'll be hitting a growth spurt here soon again. The cheisel has taken off, stock is as thick as the big ones.

Hopefully the clones take root that be awesome. I have cloned white widow and skunk before with roottech in soil so hope it works this time. I am really broke and wouldn't mind pocketing some extra cash.

Thanks for the support full update tomorrow when my lady don't have work to help drag them all out.
