pH problems are persisting.. The pH was back up to 6.3 after like 6 or 7 hours from 5.2, so I guess every 6 hrs it goes up 1 point... I don't get it.. GH says that the Flora series is pH buffered, which is true because I added more nutes a second ago and it kind of balanced out, but somehow/something is making the pH all screwy.

*update: pH has stayed at 6.3 for at least 8 hours now. We will see what happens in the morning. Or afternoon*

Still haven't figured out the ph enigma. It looks like I will just have to add 1ml/gal every day. (3ml). I also bought a brita filter yesterday to try and save on buying filtered water.. It may have filtered out most of the stuff, put the ppm is still at 450, which is higher than my nutes lol. I'm running it back through the filter again, maybe after 2 or 3 filters the ppm will drop. Probably not though lol.
Good idea though Joz- It probably works in every other town in America, just not this shit hole haha.

-My plants are loving the filtered - 350 ppm. Usin the gro too, not just Lucas, and they looking good. Almost time for some more photos. :)

Go ahead and cut your brita water with purchased distilled water half and half. Even pH buffered nutrients will have pH swings. adjusting your pH every day or every other day is completely unavoidable. When your stuff is extra fresh you should be able to go 2 days, maybe 3 days, but after that it is adjusting all the time. Which is why it is good to adjust down to 5.5 - 5.6 when making fresh stuff up, so you have a few days to go have fun while that is evening itself out. Organic earthworm teas will also help control pH. The organisms will control your pH because they know what your roots need. It's cool stuff, I like organics, you really don't need to do much pH buffering, the food itself is smart!

Haha, I bet those smell like shit. One time I caught some earthworms for fishing when I was a kid, had dirt in there and everything. I put the lid on the jar and went inside for some water or something, came back out an hour later and it was worm juice n dirt! I puked all over my moms roses.

Good to now, I had no idea that the pH would do that so often. My friend is a computer whiz, and we were discussing making a fully automated system, by designing a software program and a controller obviously that would plug into the USB, and you could set everything up on your computer. Leave it for up to two weeks, and the computer would add certain amounts of ph and nutrients whenever programmed, as well as the typical flood and drain cycles. It would also control the lights.. Pretty awesome idea, can't believe no one has done it yet. But a laptop-controlled system.. Possibly accessible via bluetooth or wireless--You could log on, and check your res temps, ppm's, and all sorts of shit from overseas or across the country.. Change the light schedules, add more nutes.. the whole shabang. If you hooked it up to a large water res you could potentially set everything up.. control it from another city, and only come back for harvest!! tell me if thats not fucking awesome.. Set up 4 or 5 little deals... have a nice little crop rotation going

Oh dear lord? Someone picked that up for 1300? Dude, that is just high grade Greenhouse. That stuff sells for 2200 between locals! Hahahahah! Oh man! Don't get me wrong, that looks like some super dank ass shit, but I can tell it is greenhouse. I have some stuff right now that looks just like it, smells fucking wonderful too. Don't worry about the yellow sprout leaves, those will fall off on their own, its supposed to happen. I see all the hard water stains, but what is with all the white dots everywhere?

And earthworm tea actually smells like iced tea and dirt. No joke, not unpleasant at all.

ur roots are brown rotting because of ur water temps...had root rot b4...giv roots stupid amounts of oxygen and those temps in the water need to be around 72 or less.......once u get the rot hydro peroxide and flushing wont even work

Nice gro room GH, been lurking for a little while now. as a complete noob i have to ask... what does SFV stand for?

Your water temps do put you in risk of root rot, and at higher temps h2o2 can cause more problems, so controlling your water temp is crucial, and you will definitely see a lot more growth with water temps below 72.

SFV stands for San Fernando Valley, the SFV OG Kush is a strain by Swerve of The Cali Connections, and a pack of seeds goes for around 100 bucks, well worth it, anything from Cali Connection is straight-up pure fucking fire! You can find his seeds at very high end dispensaries listed on their website here in California, otherwise he is available at any quality online seed bank.

Yuppers, I need to go find some rocks to stick in the freezer, then to res.. that is my cooling strat for now, lol. The Res temps have dropped 3-4 degrees since I got this 12,000 btu monster ac.. but when it kicks on the lights flicker in the grow room. yikes.. starting to wonder if this will affect the 600 when it comes on. Haven't noticed any dimming of the lights, just flicker, but idk when the 600 comes on ya know...Keeping the air temp in my room around 64, temp in the closet w/o the 600, is 72. Starting to notice some purple stems... Don't think its N deficiency as I juiced em hard with the Micro, and gro, and then kind of not so much with the bloom.

those little white things that my camera picks up.. I have no idea what those are. they look like crystals but obviously still in veg. I wonder if when i changed the res.. I put the tray in my sink in the bathroom.. it has soft-white bulbs, they maybe got confusd? I fuckin hope not.. they were only in the sink under those lights for like 30 min MAX. but dude, i know there's not supposed to be a smell until budding.. but they stink a little...

My ppms keep going up dammit... No algae formation either since I taped the fuck out of those net pots. Roots starting to develop hair and some woolly white shit as well. Doesn't look harmful despite its fuzziness, but wtf do i know.

Anyways so problems with the controller.. plants are really getting bushy, the roots have started to like go down in spirals and get bigger towards the end of them, i guess where they almost have hit the oxygen rings.. I will post some pics tomorrow after the res change.

So confused.. must ..have ..weed

Purple stems can just be the strains natural color, that is very likely with Killing Fields. Don't sweat it. The only thing I am worried about with the white spots is the possibility of Spider Mites. Look at the under side of the leaf for a good minute, look for any teeny-tiny black or reddish specks, watch them, see if they move, if only a little bit, they do not move much very quickly so it takes some observation time. I'm more assured that it is just hard water stains, but it's always good to keep in check. In desert areas with high winds and dust; spider mites are common.

The root hairs on the roots are very very very good, and you should be happy about that. Those are what feed the plant.

The rising PPM's are strange though. How much are they rising by a day? A flickering light could be a warning of a possible breaker over load. It would look bad if you over loaded a breaker and bring unwanted attention to you and why it over loaded. Get an extension chord coming off another wall. A different wall should traditionally be on a different breaker.

Golf balls, hah! You kill me. Please let me know how that works out.

Ok so you had me so paranoid for mites that I mistook a shard of duct tape for some sort of bug and freaked out. I cant see any spots on the bottom of any color... so i dont think i have any. The golf balls are working great thank you very much, I throw them in when I wake up and then freeze them over night, or kind of whenever I feel like it, but thats the idea. I raised the ppms to 420 for good measure, and filled er up with more filtered water.. Also used some super thrive, because last time it looks like it helped some of the plants recover. 1 ml for the hole res, so i didn't over do it, but may add some more towards the end of my res life.

You probably don't have mites. But always keep an eye out. Glad the golf balls are working, that his hilarious. I gotta try that shit. Just for shits and giggles.

what are you going to do with those buckets, huh buddy?

put em in a 3x3 drainage system of some sort.. still haven't found any planters, trays, storage bins, or drainage pans that have been 3x3. might have to order that one online and just pay the extra 60 bucks for shipping..which i really dont want to do. ahck!

You can always get odd shaped trays and put them together to form something close to a 3x3 tray. Good luck finding a 3x3 tray anywhere else in the world besides a hydroponics shop.

I have some odd storage bins that come out to roughly 3.5 ft and 4.5 ft, but it wont work with my veg booth and double zipper wall... so i have to do a 3x3 now. yeah i cant find them anywhere.. going to have to order online..

Instead of a double zipper wall taking up all your space (you know you are just going to trip over it and fuck it up when you are drunk, I would) why don't you tack a blanket or another piece of plastic to the outside of the zipper wall without adding another zipper. Just tack it up to the top, and use it like those super-old portrait taking cameras you saw in the cartoons, where the put the blanket over the back to keep light out. Just pull the blanket over your before you unzip it, and that will keep light out without sacrificing any space.

Anyways, I'm going to give up on fixing this dryer and go to the laundry mat. Once I get out my fucking pajamas I'll ship your stuff out. Fuck you Maytag, you fucking assholes.

You say youre only using one ml if superthrive for your whole reservoir? You should be able to up that dosage with no problem; 2ml per gallon of water. Some growers have used up to 10ml per gallon. That's a bit on the high side I'd say.
