just do the nutes. dont add the molasses. check ppm of nutes then after feeding nutes mix your molasses and feed. i wouldn`t worry about ppm`ing the molasses. what is your mix for molasses? temps seem fine.i would say 85 is the line. of course less is better. they will go through growth spurts and stop. usualy 2 growth spurts, the last will signal it`s near the end.

funny you mention the mollassis,lol I just wondered about that today and tested a gal with 2 tbs of molassis and it was 570 ppm with just molas. couldnt believe it, so I am definetly going to add the organic things after i test the ppm. I am very EXITED to post pics of my new veg chamber that i built today, and I bought a portable AC unit and installed it in the flower room. Vented the heat from the unit throught the wall :-)

PICs coming. Oh and now that I have the AC unit the 400 went back up. Lets face it, its a shame to have a 400 watt hortilux bulb and ballast sitting on the floor ;-)

I think I finally worked out my problems for now, it was a lot of work today. gonna get some sleep.........

HERE IS THE VEG CHAMBER I BUILT. IT WILL VEG 6 PLANTS IN MAGNUM POTS TO ABOUT 15 INCHES NO PROB, COULD PROBABLY ADD A LIGHT OR TWO IF I NEED TO AND GET 8 VEGED W SMALLER POTS. I LIKE IT CAUSE IT CONTAINS ALL THAT LIGHT,LOCKS, AND THE ECO FAN THAT I SEALED AND CONNECTED AT THE TOP VENTS IT VERY WELL THROUGH PASSIVE SLITS ON LOWER HALF OF THE DOOR. tEMPA ARE NEAR PERFECT INSIDE ALL TIMES. THE HUSKY STORAGE BOX I GOT AT HOMEDEPOT FOR 70 BUCKS AND PUT IT TOGETHER. USING 4 100 WATT CFL(DAYLIGHT) 1 2FT T5. PANDA FILM AT THE REAR AND SIDES, ECO 170CFM FAN. WHOLE THING COST WAY LESS THAN WHAT I COULD HAVE SPENT BUYING ONE FROM ONE OF THOSE SIGHTS ;-)

TOOK VERY LITTLE TIME TO ASSEMBLE. :joint:

thanks bro, yeah its awesome and easy. I wouldnt flower with it b/c of the height issue and it wouldnt be enough light anyway. but for veg it works. I am gonna get my pics up of the re-done flower room later. cant open the door now,lol. I read your daily tips thread, very helpful ;-)

I am hoping that i can keep the temps controled like you do now that I have the A.c. installed.

and caddy i was wondering what happened to ya,lol. For my first grow I would have to say its the wealth of knowledge that is the key. i figure i can only get better at this really, if i just keep trying with trial and error. Besides its not just about getting high for me, it really is a passion to grow aswell :-)

So here is the revised flower room, I am looking at a 600 watt light next week b/c i am no longer worried about temps Thank God. The AC unit is one of the smallest i could find but i will admit it does take some space up. Temps are 75 in there now, the kush is flowering nicely very bushy girl. I did have a really poor female turnout on this batch remember i started with 11 total only got 3 females :-(

need to improve on that.Thanks for dropping in again guys.

temps dont afect the male female ratio. that is genetics and dont change, the only change we can cause is hermie. i have yet to see a female plant turn into a male only hermie.

well the AC got returned today, what a pain in the ass it was to install and vent to only find out it puts off more heat than my oven after cooking a thanksgiving turkey. Not to mention it kept on tripping the breaker b/c i didnt realize it was 10 amps, which isnt working with all i already have on the 15 amp setup. So I am just gonna have to deal with the occasional 81 temp spike, majority of the time it stays below 79 though which is good. Now on to my love affair with my one KUSH female...I LOVE THIS PLANT :-)

Its been awhile friends, sorry got busy. Well here are lots of pics. I like the way the kush is looking in flowering, i am gonna give the bubbilicious 2 more weeks the trikes are white with some cloudy so i feel they need more time but i am using only water with serving of molassis. I hope you like the bud pics. The mango in flowering is coming along good, i ditched one other mango in veg b/c it was a dude. The other 4 plants i have in veg chamber are gonna be ready for flowering after i chop the bubs....hope all is well bonz,mared, and everyone else that has stopped by ;-)

your temps are fine. you can spike at 85 for a while and be ok, and sativa`s probably up to 90. but not for long. your shit is lookin good though.
if you move your light around in different possitions you will get better trich shot`s. what kind of camera?

a not so great cam is all i know. Its my gf's I plan on getting a new one soon that will snap better pics. Thanks though, I do like the way the buds look. aug 12 will be 60 days in flowr with the buds, so Ill keep checking my trikes. is there anything better that I can pick up to help me see th trikes better than the jeweler loop 30x pocket mag I us now. It works ok but wish i had something that left the guessing out of it

Looks great Blinky. Your Kush turned out like my plants. You'll find those stretchy sativas are a ROYAL pain in the ass to trim after harvest. But I can tell you it is worth it. My first plants are finally cut, dried, and have cured for a week. The high is great and I got 3+ oz per plant. I want to start growing that Bubble so bad though. Those look real easy to trim. I'll have to tentatively pencil them in for veg space two weeks for now, lol.

And with my plants, the pistils seemed to be a good measure of how finished the buds were. I actually let one plant go a week longer than the other. It seems they get that finished look when all the pistils have turned reddish brown and start to shrivel up. I have a nice magnifier from Radioshack with 60x-100x mag for $13. With both plants, trichs were 30%cloudy/70%amber when every last pistil(hair) had gone red. The second plant I let go until trichs were 100% amber. The pistils remained red but started to shrivel up. Bud growth was minimal but they became slightly darker in color. So the magnifier is not necessary if you pay attention to the pistils and overall color. From the pics it looks like the Bubble is very close to done but the Kush is hard to tell. :peace:

yeah i feel that the bubs can def go longer but threre hasnt been a lot of change in bud growth lately though. Ill check out that mag at radio shack too. i am in hilton head SC on a lil weekend vacation so i am a littl anxious about th babies being alone for 3 days. They will be ok though,hopefully. Correct m if i am wrong but I am pretty sure my Kush are Indica bro. I prefer indica dominant strains b/c the high agrees w/ me better.

You're probably right. I was going off the fact that it has thinner leaves and is more stretchy. But sativa/indica isn't really important for what I was trying to say. That shape of plant is a pain to trim is what I was getting at.

But HHI, that's crazy, I lived there for two years. Finished high school there. It's great for vacation but living there as a teenager wasn't the greatest. If you're planning on smoking any bud, make sure you're inside one of the Plantations. If you haven't been there before, places outside the Plantations are pretty rough and swarming with cops. Inside the Plantation are security guards that won't do anything unless another resident complains. AND DON'T SMOKE ON THE BEACH!!!! Trust me. Even in the middle of the night it's a bad idea. They got cops on ATVs. But have fun and try not to breathe in too many fumes from the paper mills if you fly into Savannah.
