so youre happy with the success of your light thus far?
Oh yeah, for sure! Good thing, it cost an arm and a leg, and oh yeah my long lost drum set! Lol. My only regret is that I didn't start doing this a long time ago! I can't wait to give a smoke and weight report. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my first grow!

3lions- What's the lowdown on Greenhouse? Give us the dirt... Ive heard some other grumbling about them. What's the deal?
Ahh, only my own personal opinion of course.

There are several issues, some I cannot go into but they have fell out with many people, particularly the founder and so called expert breeder HA!

Ha! Yeah, he does seem to like himself. :) I'm not really into gossip...just curious.

I admire most efforts to improve the Ganja world, though. I'm ok you're ok sort of attitude. ;)

I've been checking out your new website, btw, nice.

Sorry CD, a bit off topic.

Your conversation is all good with me. I too have checked out the Spanish cannabis site. I can't remember but do you have a strain on there called moby dick? I got a text from a hook up saying he had that strain available if I needed some medicine. Among other strains he had super lemon haze grape kush bubba kush violator kush and white widow. Might have to call him up on Wednesday! Anyone try these strains? I'm just about outta medicine so I may try some of his stuff this time instead of the dispensary.

Anyway I just finished with my first mini harvest. Lol. I trimmed a branch from each of the ladies and manicured the nuggs. I think I did alright for my first trimming and manicuring. I'm sure I took a lot longer than most of you pros out there. Now I got a little taste of what I am in for in a few more days. Well I now have each branch inside a cereal box that I am gonna have to put inside the cabinet to dry out. Hopefully that's alright but it is my only option. We shall see. I should be having a smoke report sooner than expected and also something to compare when the rest is ready. These were smaller branches with a few popcorn nuggs so they seem a little bit light maybe a little fluff but IMHO they look tasty and smell beautiful! I am pleased and am chomping at the bit to taste these sweet ladies! Lol. I'll post some pics of the mini harvest tomorrow! Thanks for following!

Moby Dick, one of the stronger strains and indeed one of the more popular strains here in Europe. Definitely can recommend :-) Infact recommended for things like chemotherapy and anorexia type issues too. :-)

Not the case, as I showed with the last link to those LED grows.

Get your drying correct Chronic.. not important for your tasters at all but for the main harvest you really do want to dry it slowly and properly. Then cure it as long as you can wait basically. It will be twice as nice after a month in a jar no matter how nice it is initially. :-)

3lions- true but i still see some parts of the design that can be 'optimised' that under the right grow conditions led's can outperform and make more sense than any other lights... but i dont want to hijack this thread definately belongs in mine lol

ChroniCDoom- vape the stuff you trim early, works amazingly well!!

Sure man, I hear ya, but thats different to suggesting fluffy nugs are the norm :-) Send us all the link to those LED threads for sure, I'm sure we will all find it interesting

Regarding fluffly nugs. I recall a technique used back in the day when lots of folks were growing under crappy lights. One way to add resin, virtually doubling weight, was to crimp the stem but not break it, just below the bud and let it hang down. After a day or two of the plant trying to cope with the injury by sending copious amounts of resin to the area, the bud would be flooded with sticky, and much heavier.

This isn't used much today. I haven't heard anybody discuss it here. But there is a book from a few decades back with detailed info on it.

HigH people. Well like I said before I took a small branch from each of the ladies last night and did my first ever manicuring. I have the nuggs drying inside my makeshift cereal box bud dryer. I just poked a few holes in the box and have the branches inside standing tall. Anyway here are a few pics from the lil harvest.
