MY 1st PC grow box grow

i have never checked the ph, i just use distilled water and happy frog soil that says it has the perfect oh balance. should i start chching it?

Hi bro,

It depends on your budget, but you can get pretty cheap pH meters on ebay (under $20). That's where I got mine (ebay UK). You'll also probably need calibration fluid to calibrate the meter the first time you use it to make sure it gives accurate readings.

If your ladies are looking healthy, you might not need to check the pH of the water, but if things start to get a little hairy later on during the grow, being able to check pH can help diagnose the problem.

Pulling up a chair. All the best for this grow.

Hi Fish,

They're looking really good. Can I ask how close your lights are to the tops of your plants? They seem a little stretched, so the closer you can put the bulbs to the tops of your ladies, the less stretching you'll get. My advice would be to keep them within 2 inches. They'll then start fanning out, rather than just growing straight up. Well, that's what happened to mine.

You'll probably get a few more healthy looking nodes by the end of next week. Keep it up dude.
