My Cfl/MH 400 Watt Grow

since i flipped the switch ive had one plant grow almost 5 inches hope he's not a male cuz he's towering over the other ones....i'll take some photos later my camera is charging

ok still growing fast one is putting in an inch a day and i think tomorrow im gonna hit them with another shot of ferts
i'll throw more pics up tomorrow

ok Sorry it took me so long for photos ive been real busy with the kids and trying to get my next batch of seeds going....So i have yet to see anything that i can say for sure is a flower. Still getting great growth though so here are the current pics thanx for the patients These pics are 3 days old but i will get some more new ones sooner than later

the only thing i would say is for flowering switch to hps because the spectrum it produces is more favorable for budding and also some say mh is better for vegging, just think about it either way im sure your fine

also the one in the pic that was 19 is now 21

ive decided to run mh str8 thru for 2 reasons....1 money 2 i heard mh make stronger denser buds

and i did manage to get one good healthy one in to a cornfield!!!

my cousin has a 1000w hps with six plants under it and harvested like a pound n a qp in wet weight.. mh spectrum is still full spectrum as is hps but has more of the veg spectrum then flowering

oh i bet....the book i read called "Closet Cultivator" said that while a HPS will produce "larger buds" they wont be as strong as ones that were flowered under a MH which will produce smaller but more highpowered nugs that should blow ur socks off

I was thinking of switching one of my HPS to a MH for the last two weeks of flower. That would leave one 1000w HPS and one 1000w MH. I've read that using a MH through flower will 'trick' the plants into producing more resin by putting into survival mode. Density is not obtained only from light spectrum though. There are other factors that need to play out in order to get dense nugs.

So i g oout to the grow room last night for my daily inspection and what do i see a mound of orange fungus on the top of the dirt in one of my plants!!!! So i ripped it off and tonight will probably treat with a lil light light bleach water and i'll get pics but as of yet no sex but im gonna hit with the bloom formula tonight and the guy at the grow shop said it should kick them in gear LOL heres hoping

I'm not saying light spectrum doesn't help get you dense nugs bro because it does. You need both red and blue spectrums though (some argue that yellow and green play a role during flower as well). This is why I'm thinking of throwing my MH bulb in with a HPS for the last two weeks of flower. Getting the best of both worlds will increase the chances of having some really dense buds. How far you keep the light from your plants is another factor. Light intensity gives buds density (stole that from someone online lol). Genetics is another. Some strains just weren't mean to produce dense nugs. This too is argued all over the place but I've seen it first hand...

My friend grows 3 or 4 different strains all in the same room. He treats them all the same (feeding/trim/lights/etc...). His C99 plants produced the tightest and most dense nugs I've ever seen, while his bubble gum was lighter and fluffy. The only factor that could have made the difference was genetics. Since you're using mystery seeds you won't know how dense your buds will be until you get to the late flowering weeks.

Not sure if this was any help. I'm pretty baked lol I picked up some green crack and lemon haze last night. This green crack is no joke. Really dense buds with a crazy cerebral high. I took 3 hits off my bowl and set it down. A few minutes later I took a 4th hit... that's when it got real intense. Best smoke I've had in a while.

LOL dubbz! Its funny cuz the other night by bud came thru with some headband and some strawberry kush and we mixed it together in a big blunt and i took 2 or 3 hits and was completley dusted like it was just ridiculous LOL And any and all comments help im still waiting for them to show there sex, but i just hit them with there first feeding of bloom formula.... here are some pics i took right after watering tonight... Still no def sex decided to buy some Open sesame by fox farm and feed them with it yesterday and i lowered my lights it occured to me that it was to high so hopefully the combo helps to speed the process

Ok so its really looking like 8 out of the 10 plants are gonna be females!!!! Hell Yeah! Once the preflowers get a bit bigger i'll try to get some pics...apparently between me dropping the light right down on top of them and hitting them with FF Open Sesame there really picking up stem..I am definitely sold on FF products i will definitely be buying beastie blooms for the next step. Grats! Was just reading about some MH flowering in my book. I'm pretty stoked to see how your harvest turns out. Glad you finally know which ones are ladies.

Wow 8 out of 10 hope mine turn out as good as yours i got 10 bagseeds growing now hope i get as lucky as u im switchng my setup soon and im going to try ff nutes my plants are 6wks and some 1wk i pray mine turn out half as good as yours check out my youtube video let me know what u think of my first grow look under famfamillion on you tube hopefully u can give me a few pointers

Quick up date just fed and watered last night there looking perky today and im still juicing them with that "open sesame" on top of the technaflora nutes some of my females are up to about 30 inches or so
