I would mix perlite in your soil to avoid compaction. Loss one of my babies because the soil was so compact it stunte. So I add perlite to every mix of soil now

seems to have good drainage then. good luck with your grow. when do you have plans on flowering?
plan on flowering on day 1 of week 5 from breaking ground. they are exactly 3 weeks old today, so 1 more week and then away we go, what do you guys think? i was going to top them to get 4 main colas but im not sure yet, how much time will that add on to the grow as i assume i have to let the plant recover a bit after topping before switching to 12/12?

Girls looking good! I would fill that nice room you have. As long as your pots have good drainage at the bottom, and you allow the soil to dry out some between feedings, you shouldn't have an issue with root rot. Next time you make up some soil, just add perlite in the mix to increase drainage and air flow to your girl's roots.

Good luck and God speed.

Healthy plant rebound very quickly after topping. I topped my foot tall girls this past Monday and already have an new inch and a half on the branches. How big is your light? If it's 600 or better, i would consider giving them a decent veg time.

Thanks man. It looked so much like Coco in your pics I just had to know! Peat is a great medium to grow in. Next time around you now know to amend it with some perlite. You may also want to top dress the current grow with some dolomite lime or the pH of the peat may sneak down later in the grow and cause a few issues....a tablespoon or so per container and scratch it into the top few inches of medium....also go easy on the P during flower as it does not leach easily from peat based mixes and a little can go along way........

i would wrap your milk jugs cut in half in some duct tape or something to keep the light from seeing the roots.
