I planned on these 8" pots being these plants final home. I am in a confined space so I don't want them to be too terribly tall. I'll probably transplant in a week and keep them in those for the rest of their life.

Sounds good:blsmoke:

So these pictures are from yesterday but since you guys were wondering how the plants are doing I figured I post them because I never did.

Thai: The Thai plant has a lot of noticible growth, and has developed its first set of side branches. This was an exciting site to see. You'll be able to see that in the third pictures. Pictures 1-3

SD: The Sour Deisel plant is doing well but is still growing really slow compared the Thai plant. This could just be the strain, but I figured after 6 days it would be bigger than it is now. What do you think? Pictures 4-5.

any updates? how they like the new lights?
The plants are loving the new light. The temps are also much lower this way which takes some worry off of my shoulders. I'll have some pictures and an update coming late tonight. Sorry it's taking so long.

I read that on another thread too. I'm going to start doing that. Thanks for the advice ZMA.

What's up all? I replaced my 42watt 2700k lights with 26watt 6500k lights for vegging. So that means I'm running 6 of those 26watt lights now. The plants have definitely taken a liking to the new lights, and I've seen a lot of new growth since then.

Thai: My Thai plant is doing really, really fucking awesome. I love to see it grow. It has started its second node. Looking really healthy beside some drooping from overwatering. I'm going to let it dry out pretty well before I water it again. Photos 1-2

SD: The Sour Deisel plant is doing well also. Its growth is still slow, but I'm starting to accept that this one might take a little longer than the others. It has alot of pep, what I mean is that it is pointing straight up, so overwatering isn't an issue with that one. Looking okay?

Lemon G: My lemons still haven't broken through the soil. When I planted them the soil was already pretty wet out of the bag so I waited to water a few days. I'm hoping they'll be sprouting soon.

Picture 5 is an overhead shot of all 4 plants.

I'm going away on a camping trip this weekend, so the girls will be going undisturbed a few days. I gave the dry ones a little water for while I'm gone. I'm hoping to come home to a lot of new growth and maybe some new plants out of the soil. Let me know what you guys think. As soon as I get a chance when I'm back from the trip I'll post an update. Have a good weekend, and an even better 4/20!!!!!!:weed:

Hey guys. Just got back from my weekend trip and checked on the plants. I can see a lot of new growth, but I think my temps are low which is slowing growth.

Thai: My Thai plant looks like it's doing pretty well. I can see new growth and a second node. I noticed that for the last weekend the plant has been drooping a lot. I'm pretty sure that it's happening because of overwatering or low temps. My temps have been hovering around 74 during my light hours but dropping to 56 degrees at night, which is way too cold. Also, this one could be rootbound too. Let me know what you guys think I should do about this. Photos 1-3

SD: The sour deisel plant is on the same track it's been on since the beginning - really slow growth, but healthy as far as I can tell. I moved some of the topsoil around to expose some more of the stem. It's looking pretty good though, pointing straight up. Photos 4-6

Lemon G: The lemon seeds broke the soil while I was gone. The shell of the seed is still connected to the plant, but you can see in the pictures that these little ones broke the soil! Photos 7&8

Photo 9 is an overhead of all four plants.

So, as far as new growth goes it all looks healthy to me, but I can't put my finger on exactly what's causing my slow growth. I've seen plants much farther along than this at 11 days old. Let's hear what you think! Please, any advice helps!:bigjoint:

I wouldnt exactly call that going well. Get that plant in a bigger container, and the soil looks really dry so I don't think it's overwatering.

1. I hope you don't just look at your soil and decide if it's time to water bugonawire22..
If that's your method and you get healthy plants.. Please teach me your super powers. It looks to me like overwatering. I had the same problems with my plants and this grow is very similar to mine.

2. The container may or may not need to be bigger. Some people can grow a plant from seedling to harvest in a solo cup.. I'd give the plant a few more days before trying to transplant to see if it is overwatering.

3. I think you should do a little more research before barking out advice so confidently. A good policy to have is, don't give advice unless you 100% sure it's right or let the person know you aren't sure. You could kill someone plants if they take advice that's wrong. Don't be so confident in your guessing ability bugonawire.. Just because the soil LOOKS dry doesn't mean his plant needs water.

im with green on that. how many roots do you see the first 1/2 to 1 inch probly not many so you dont judge on what you see at the top, like mine first inch is quite dry but i stick my moisture meter to the bottom where the roots are and what do you know... your pretty darn well off.

What's up dudes? So. My Thai and Sour Deisel plants are both thirteen days old today. I am having some temperature problems but surprisingly my problem is that my temps have been dropping way too low. I ended up turning my intake fan off to hopefully keep some of the heat inside of my boxes. If this fails, I'll need to come up with something else to create some heat inside. My high temps have been staying around 75 with the new lights which is good, but the lows are just too damn low. Let me know if you have any ideas to raise the temps at night.

Thai: My Thai plant is having some major drooping problems. All new growth is really green and healthy, but the drooping doesn't look like it is healthy. I checked the moisture with my moisture meter and it was reading between 2 and 3, so the soil was entirely too dry. I gave it a good watering today so hopefully that will give it a little pick me up. I'm hoping that was the problem. If that doesn't help then I'm stumped and will need some serious help. Let me know what you guys think. Pictures 1-3

SD: The Sour Deisel is looking really awesome. I was pretty concerned with this one at the beginning, but I can see some definite growth. It's just taking a little more time than my Thai plant. The low temperatures could be the problem. With my lows going all the way down to 56 it could have stunted the growth a little. Either way, it looks healthy. Pictures 4-6

Lemon G: The lemon G haven't made really any progress. I think they've been stunted by the low temperatures. I'm hoping if my temps get raised at all it will stimulate some new growth.

Picture 7 is an overhead of all four plants.

I need some serious help with that Thai plant. If anyone has any advice, guesses or anything that might help me please share it. Thanks for the help in advanced. Later on duuudes.bongsmilie:blsmoke:

What's up guys? I know I havent been making as many updates lately, but trust me, the plants havent been that exciting the past week.

~Since I turned off my intake fan, my tempertatures have become a little more regulated. I've been doing some research and I've found that cooler temps can give you purple or dark blues in your buds. If that's the case, that'd make my day. My temps are about 59low and a 78high, so, if the info I read is correct, I should be good for purple. I'm going to go ahead and try the low temps through veg and see what happens, but when i flower my temps will jump up because of my 42watt 2700k lights.

~I transplanted both my Sour Deisel and my Thai plants into bigger pots today. The pots are 8" in diameter, and these will be the final home of both of them. When I transplanted the Thai plant, it worked with me very well and the rootball stayed together like glue, but on the other hand, the Sour Deisel gave me a bit of trouble and some of the roots ended becoming damaged or broken. I'm not really sure what all I can do for that, or if this is going to affect the plant majorly. I know it will cause some stress, but I was wondering if I give it some superthrive, would it help with the stress?

~I have pulled both Lemon plants, and I am going to focus more on the two that are doing the best for my first time around(That is Sour Deisel and Thai.) I've been researching the SCROG method and I'm thinking of possibly using a mixture of both the LST and the SCROG method. We'll see what happens for me.

So, heres the update on the girls:

Thai: I mentioned in the last update that this plant seemed really droopy and lifeless, well I gave it a good watering or two since I posted that update and it has sprung up like new again. There is plenty of new, healthy growth and the drooping leaves have recovered for the most part. It is approaching 4 inches tall, so I will probably begin LSTing soon on this one. Pictures 1-3

Sour Deisel: My Sour Deisel plant has been getting me worked up since the beginning. It's lagging in growth, old growth is dying off and it's just a pain in the ass. But, all the new growth is healthy and green, so I can't give up on this one just yet. I'm hoping the new pot will give it a boost of life. Pictures 4-6

Picture 7 is an overhead of both in their new pots.

Let me know what you guys think! I didn't get much feedback on my last update, and trust me, I need all the help I can get! Hope you all had a sweet weekend. Take it easy.

From what I've read already, it seems like its a simple setup and can really help in the long run. I definitely need to do some more studying before I do it though.
