picture update:

the potted landrace sativa (hereby referred to as virgin brahmin) is really starting to spread out from the base and shoot straight up, i think she's gonna wind up with that typical christmas tree shape'
my planted sativa (the biggest one, hereby referred to as venx) is just bushing out AND growing upwards, am considering putting a screen but i have this inner curiosity to see what a bushy ass plant looks like
my papaya is flowering nicely, too bad only one survived...can't comment on nirvana's seed quality because i feel i may have fucked up the germination by being a bit curious as to what's going on under the soil after i sowed the seeds. lol
my two surviving mandalas post my monsoon catastrophic error are cute little seedlings, growing nice, and developing a fairly intense root system. :leaf:

here's some good bud considering the time of year right now...we normally don't get buds this dark green...they're nice buds though, fairly denser than normal, and quite a bit heavier, quite soft and spongy as well. i feel the plant could have been left to mature a good 2-3 weeks more but i don't know, didn't see the plant/buds, it's a score, not my weed...has a fruity smell when you crush it, and almost no smell at all unless you put your nose real close to it and inhale hard or keep it in a box and open it up a bit later...

great to see a fellow countryman cultivating.
I went to college in Manipal, not far from bangalore. you do get good weed there, and it is dirt cheap.

not like the stuff you get abroad man, i've smoked the craziest shit that there is cultivated here, still nowhere near california

I wouldn't know about that man. I smoke very occasionally now and have low tolerance, so get stoned on pretty much anything.
where do you order seeds from? I'll be getting my own place in bangalore soon and plant to start growing my own.

You could try Herbies Head Shop as well, I had a good experience with them. Fast, discreet and freebies.

Am back :).. Was out of the country for a few weeks.. my Landrace Sativa is beautiful.. Hardly any care when I was not there, but she is doing well.
I LST'd her as well :D..

Bad news about the seeds I bought though. Lost 2 due to nutrient burn and the rest were pecked out by sparrows :(
Next time I buy seeds, they are definitely gonna start indoors.

once the taproot shows and you put it in the soil, keep it outdoors, but cover it with some thing transparent.
in my experience, i've found that it's better to leave space for air flow, the humidity here is fucking high
enough, if you cover it up, it gets too humid and there's almost always some sort of fungus or mould growing
all over the taproot. i lost 16 of my mandala seeds to rain. left it out like a fucking idiot. but i just sowed
all my mr.nice seeds and 15/18 are breaking ground, as well as 2 surviving mandalas growing beautifully,
my landrace sativas are fucking insane, planted a couple more landrace seeds, and the blue widow and
blue hash seeds have broken ground. : )
converting an inside cabinet into a seedling/early veg area with 4 23w 6500k cfls. will see how that goes,
it's about 1.5 ft x 2.5ft x 2 ft (l x w x h)

yeah but with three lights the spread of light in the cabinet would be more even for the same power output wouldn't it...makes more sense to me than one 70w cfl...

certainly, but my plants are going to go outside after, where they'll each be getting an exponentially larger number of lumens : )

how big is huge? mine is covering an area of 3ft x 4ft and the tallest stalk is 4 ft above the soil, meaning that the dirt under the plant in that 12 sq ft area receives no light pretty much haha...
and i guess on average the height of the plant off the ground is about 3 ft...still deciding whether or not to scrog it, or just tie down the bigger stalks to make an even canopy and give it support as i see fit...
