My Second Grow

Well, let's see...

Attempted to produce something that'd make some cO2 in my grow room.

Gallon jug
1 T. dry active yeast (3 lil' packages for $1)
5 cups sugar
1/2 gallon water
Top of gallon jug had a pencil sice hole punched in it

Worked ok. UNTIL I WOKE UP!!! Bad luck continues with JD...

I had the jug above, but to the side, of the plant... IT FUCKIN OVERFLOWED ONTO MY PLANT!!!!!!

Gay! So, pulled a branch 11" long....

To say the least I no longer have it in there... lol I got pissed and threw it outside...

yeah man i have heard the same problem of people accidentally overflowing their diy co2. looks like the plant is filling in every day more and more. i tried to find pictures of my plant that looked the same as yours but i cant find pics, i have some on my old celly but it is smashed so i will see if i can get the pics off it somehow.

It IS filling in... but it's in it's like 4th week lol... and I know things haven't been perfect. And I know it's bagseed... but good experiments. I think pH played/plays a big part in this grow too...

it may release co2 but its sugar water... attracts bugs i started to think and took mine down if you can get fresh air to em.. thats all you really need

Went to wal mart bought 2 high velocity fans. like a 10" and 1 4" fan. one for mama, one for kids. doing better now.

watered kids yesterday....

my ppm said 1800!? lol need flush soon and replace...

Day 37 of Flowering


Did a rez change today.

10 gallons distilled water.
ppm=0

Added 60mL Botanicare Base (2-0-3)
ppm=165

Added 108mL Advanced Nutrients Bloom (0-5-5)
ppm=425

Added 10mL Advanced Nutrients Hammerhead (0-9-1
ppm=550

Added 1T. Dr. Hornby's Big Bud (0-10-40)
ppm=850

ppm was low, so I added about 2tsp. base, 15mL bloom, 1 tsp. Hammerhead, and about 1 tsp. Big Bud.

Now ppm is at 1480.

Bought 'crystal' pH up. Was at 3.6. added .5 tsp. pH up.
5.2 pH.

Added more and more by hand to get pH at 5.8.

Black spraypaint
1 bag perlite

Don't really have a use for it now, per se, but it'll come in handy soon.

Also got some root simulator/starter liquid...
Tape measure, twine, small manicuring scissors....
Odds and ends, heh..

I want to buy a light meter. Hardware stores got one that's for soil. A pH tester, soil wetness meter, and a light meter.

The range on the light says: 0-2000

lol WTF kind of measurement is this?

They said I'd have to go to a photography store and get a spectrometer... gay.

So I got the 2 fans on mom, and she seems to be lovin it.. I really got some airflow in there now... temps should be ok, but haven't takena digi reading..

Mercury thermometer says: 88 degrees and 38% humidity... seems fine...

I have my three sprouts going well. 1 more sprout popped up today. I got that 4" high velocity on the sprouts under 3-2ft. flourescent 22 (i think) watters.

My fan fucked with the sprouts makin them droop over, so I kept turning them to train the stem to be stronger. Doing well. Temps are fine. A little high, but what the fuck? It's Arizona!! Oops, ha!

Numbered the sprouts 1-4. 1 being the first and oldest sprout, 4 being the newest youngest sprout. Will continue to number as more sprouts (hopefully) come up!

Pictures 8, 9, 10 are sprouts 1, 2, and 3, respectively

The 11th & 12th picture are the latest sprout, just different angles..

Ya got tha main stem. Than she's got only 6 main side shoots. And one day I counted them, and I got to 10.. and kept loosin count... ha
