My weed isnt potent

So i finished my first cfl grow, used 125w of cfl under 1 plant and harvested about 10g (when it dries), i have used nutes and the lights were 1-2 inches from the plant it has potent looking buds but they don't seem to get me really high just a slight buzz, i cut it down 24 hours ago and tried some bud today it was quite wet and hardly burned but it burned anyway and im not high :( , week ago i also tried quick drying a bud with the same results but i figured it was just the quick drying. 8 weeks flowering also. anyone?

Quick dried weed is never as good as it slowed dried. If it's not very good when completely dried in the next couple of weeks, then I would say you picked it too early and the trichomes didn't fully develop.

you may have harvested too early,also wet bud will be pretty weak,and quick dried bud will be quite a bit weaker too compared to properly dried and cured bud.

the more the buds dry the more the cannabinoids(i think i spelt it right :P) will become active. never quick dry weed, its such a waste.

I quick dried some of mine and smoked a bowl... knocked me on my ass. The buds are frosty though, I would just look at your buds if there not covered in crystals then you did something wrong D:
But best bet is to wait it out and dry/cure that shit properly.

Ugh... trying to smoke wet weed is HARSH/nasty/uneffective... And for peak potency you need to look at the trichomes under a 60x scope. Here is a shot of mine 6 weeks into flowering.



You can see that most of them are clear but some are starting to go amber. Once there is a good combination of amber/milky white trichomes is the right time to harvest. I've tried several quick dry methods and the only one that I've found to work OK is described in a thread that I started HERE

It's a 24 - 36 hour method, so it's not QUICK but it's the best way to keep most of your bud intact without killing the trichomes. Don't mess with microwave methods and crap like that....it's just sick.

I don't have a scope or money to buy one so i went with the pistil color harvesting, i harvested when almost all the pistils were brown, my buds are sticky and smelly with trichomes (iunno if they are alot) but they don't get me high. A little more info on harvest time - the seed i used was from outdoor grown bud, grown in my country. Due to climate sativas can't be grown here, and 7-8-9 week strains are all that its grown here, so i figured that this is 7-9 week strain and harvested on 8th week because of time+good pistil color. Could someone point me where i might have went wrong?
Edit: On the picture the buds are drying for a little more than a day.

I can't order online. I am aware of alot of things, but the thing im unaware is: What could be the possible reason for lower potency when i took good care for my plants? Genetics? Could it be that its not dry enough? But the potency is near zero, could it improve that much after a dry/cure? :( It makes me really sad man :(

genetics are probably the number one reason why your bud is not getting you high.. secondly, i would say immature bud would be at fault.. even as much as two weeks sooner, bud will not be nearly as mature and the trichomes won't be completely full of thc if picked too soon..

Racerboy, buds seem mature to me, i know its not the best way to check it but pistils are almost all brown. Also the seed was from the kind of weed you smoke a few times in your life, i know its probably an unstable strain which can produce totally different phenotypes but could 1 phenotype be dank and other be schwag? Im not that into this kind of stuff but its just what goes thru my mind.

dude your buds looking mature enough to get you high. that mexican swag gets people high and look at those buds in comparison...you must have slipped up somewhere man because it dosent make sense

dude your plant had a deficiency. you said your bud was wet so we can still tell by the pic what happened with your plant. there are a couple leaves still on the buds with a lot of yellowing

Most of the ultra-yellow leaves are actually cfl burns, as i said i tried to keep CFLs as close as possible (extremely close) because from everything i red about cfl growing, the most important thing is to keep the lights close, so i did and i burned some leaves, my plant was totally green except last 2-3 weeks when the first fan leaves started yellowing but i researched and found out its natural for leaves to yellow. Going wrong with nutes would be kinda hard because i bought a pretty universal and PROVEN product (which is local) that is extremely easy to use - 1 cap, every other watering, and i had seperate nutes for veg/flower.

Edit: i rolled a J and i'm about to smoke it.

Smoking a J as i write... hoping yours is better than mine :). Anyways i know i have messed up somewhere but i can't figure where so oh it gives me some buzz actually but... nothing good you know.. :(

DEAR RIU, i am HIGH! I smoked a J few minutes ago and i feel the high feeling in my head, its not knock you on your ass smoke but im high, definetly high. And since it become so much better after drying a lil but i guess it will be EVEN better after a full dry and cure? Possible? im happy mon

EDIT: Im getting even HIGHER, my eyes are kinda red, nothing too scary tho :(

Im high 2 days drying, will i be higher, i`ll jar my buds today because they are quite airy and small so they dried up fast, nothing like your HID buds, do you think after a week in the jar they`ll get me even higher? :D
