Ok the grow room is my first, it is a closet with concrete walls and tile floor. I have a LED light and plan on using soil. I am totally new so all the advice the better! i have included pictures please help!

Here is my led light: i have a 180 watt LED light, equal or greater than a 600HPS. here is the link to the exact LED from Haight Solid State...

http://shop.haightsolidstate.com/Hai...ht-PPF-800.htm

180W LED Grow Light
The ideal size for both vegetative growth and flowering of full sun loving plants
Covers up to 4x4 ft
31 - 6W wide beam LEDs
Red, blue and white LEDs for a complete full spectrum
Separate High/Low power control for blue/white and red
120V indoor use only
15 x 20 x 1 inch
3.5 lbs

Here are pictures of my room, sorry you have to tilt your head...

1. Do i need ventilation? how do i do it in a closet the only way air gets in now is under the door....

2. do i need to line the walls with that reflective stuff? what is it called?

3. how do i manage smell?

4. Is there anything i am forgetting, i am planning on getting clones this week what is my next step? my light has settings for veg and flower...can i use the light once i get the clones?

If you want to help please answer these questions...im sorry im such a noob but gotta start somewhere...

Is this good soil? how much do i put in the buckets? to the top?

Bat Guano and Nutrients (honey Bee), when do i use this stuff? lol

1. Ventilation is one of THE MOST important things in an indoor grow op.
Find some way to vent the room, maybe install an exhaust to the top of the door(if it is possible)
W/O proper ventilation, bad things could happen...
2. From what I see, there is no need, the white walls will do just fine...
3. Maybe a carbon filter to go with that exhaust fan...
4. Do you have any pH testing and adjusting equipment? Another necessity for a successful grow!
Once you get the clones(if they are rooted) transplant into the pots and throw that light on them!

That soil is perfect, the best ready-made soil imo! And not all the way to the top, maybe an inch below the rim...

And I believe you are supposed to mix that guano into the soil...
And I wouldn't give any form of nutrients until they show me signs of a deficiency...displaying that all the nutes in the soil have been used up!

Cant really see how tall the greenhouse actually is, but if it isn't too close to the top, I'd leave it be...but if it is, I'd give it 2-3 days to recover from the transplant and then tie a few branches down...

That seems pretty accurate! Thanks for sharing!
no problem. glad i could help an experienced grower like yourself!

okay so i found this PPM chart by roseman.
Seedlings, Early Sprouts 100 to 250

Early Vegging 300 to 400

Full Vegetation 450 to 700

Early Blooming 750 to 950

Full Mature Blooms 1000 to 1600
your supposed to minus the PPM of the original water with this chart which gives you the direct PPM of the nutes(makes sense, just wanted a good understanding)... do you think this is a good chart to reference by or do you think levels could go higher in veg?

Is it possable to cut the finished buds off my plant (top ones) and continue the flower the lower one or is it better to cut, switch back to 24/24 light, grow and flower once more?? is this possible?

How is a 180w LED "equal" to or "better" then a 600w Hps????? I dont have a 600w hps, I have a 400w digital ballast (runs both, Mh & Hps) that statement seems "odd". Could someone tell me how that is possible??

i have no where for ventilation, what should i do? i can not put holes int he wall or door so the only vent is the gap at the bottom of the door and the floor!

should i consider building a box with fans? i have thought about the good old rubbermaid cabinet but i cant fit 6 plants in there...

i am thinking about 6 plants underneath this light what do you think?

How can i maximize my growth? should i have 2 separate chambers? i don't entirely understand this concept....please explain

also what are CFL's used for? can you use them from start to finish? i have seen alot of people using those in the rubbermaid container methods

buy another door the same size cut a hole in that to set up your ventilation then just swap the door back when u need to

sorry for cut in here slb but i had a m8 have same prob and thats how he got around it so i figured i would suggest it :)

It's a good chart, but you may be able to get away with more in veg...

Both are possible, but I'd reveg them and flower again...(second option)

I don't believe that assumption is true, I've seen LED bud Vs. HID bud...No competition for HID, leds, IMO are better than cfl's, but nowhere near as good as HID's!

I have a tight 3x1 grow space with 3 plants that need to get scrogged in there asap as they have to become mobile. They are vegging under a 400 watt mh right now. The box (a broken projection tv) I can only vent out the bottom due to the need for sneakiness. I'm pretty sure I will roast them alive if I put them in there with that bulb. No cooltube or hood, just a batwing reflector. I also have a 4 24w bulb t-5 unit. My question is if I flower with the MH minus it's reflector and hang those flouros right above the hid bulb and cycled the ballast every 30 minutes/hour all the while leaving the flouros on would they pack on weight the same? I'm saying if the grow needs 50 watts hid per square foot and I give them 133 of the mh plus whatever the flouros put out but only leave the light on for a short interval would it be equivalent to an always on scheme putting 50 watts per square foot. Lumens, I know, I know.

It's would probably not produce the same. The constant drastic change in light intensity may cause some stress as well, I'd DIY a cool tube man...

Alright, I'll have to figure something out for a cool tube, thanks for the help. On a side note how large an exhast fan do you think I'd need for that box 3x1x4, or how many times an hour I need to change the air? I have a 265 cfm dayton now and I think If I hook that up in there it will be way too lound and I'd probaly have way too much negative pressue and suck in the screen or make whistles or stuff. Oh, my thought is to exhaust all air through a pantyhose filter ducted to the tube which is ducted to the fan for just 1 exaust hole.

Thanks
