need to breed to get seeds

Im trying to get around 300 seeds of lowryder2 / ak47 but I cant afford
that much so Il just seed some out but Im wondering how many seeds
can I get off one plant?

Depends on how you cross, using a lowrider female x ak47 male will yield less seed. But if you aggressively pollinate a large ak female you could probably get several hundred seeds.

F1 crosses, especially with lowriders, are notoriously random. You'll probably get several different phenotypes expressed, they won't all be lowriders.

Just curious, why would you need 300 seeds?

thinking about something big but the way i see it I want get the same lowryder strain but will it be auto flower?

Not necessarily, like Alpha stated you will find F1 lowryder crosses express a VERY wide array of pheno's and not all of them autoflower. :peace:

ugg so its not just a simple proseedure to get it, its totaly random
what if I had a famale lowryder/ak47 and a male one and I just
flowered them out the seeds would still be a random thing?

You would have a much better trait expression if you used two second generation lowryders (Joint Doctors Lowryder #2), most, if not all, would be auto-flowering, short, plants. But you're not going to get hundreds of seeds from just one plant, you'll need to breed several to get the amount you're talking about.

Your other option is to breed your LR #2 with AK then cube for desirable traits.

Here's a good article on breeding in general and cubing specifically: BC Growers - Cubing

It's pretty time intensive, but worth it in the long run if you want a truly custom strain.

dam thats complicated I thought you could just throw 5 female lr2
in with a few lr2 male and let nature take its cours then harvest the
seeds and id get the 300 autos im looking for lol

Am I rong or is this how its done Im not looking to cross/strains
just keep it the same way it come from the seed bank.:weed:

Yeah that would probably work out alright, though I would still do some selective breeding and weed out any weak looking LR2's for a vigorous LR3.

That's not how it is. F1 are the most consistent hybrids. It is beyond this (F2,F3, etc.) that you will have the most variety. You can easily get 300 seeds from 1 plant. Just start a pack of LR2 x AK-47 and let all the plants go to harvest.... easy as that.

I know with me I made seeds with my white widow seeds when I first got them and the seeds I made came out great. I pollinated the best female with my best male (basically the shortest most stout male, not the stretchy ones) by simply collecting the pollen from the male and distributing the pollen on the bud sites with a ear swab and the rest is history. I grow using SOG so my plants are short and I still got about 75 seeds off 1 plant. I've already used the seeds twice and am on my 3rd grow with them now and I can honestly say there isn't any reduction in quality. Only problem you'll run into is that they will probably not be very stable, meaning you'll still get an array of phenos.

cool Im going to order some lr2/ak47 and see what happens with it.
now this difference in the pheno what negitive side will that have
on my seeds?

25% Short - Auto-flowering
25% Tall - Auto-flowering
25% Short - Not auto-flowering
25% Tall - Not auto-flowering

It can be broken down even more, but that's what you're likely looking at. None of these are negative sides, they will all show increased vigor and influence from both strains. But it's a gamble, you could get any number of pheno's expressed; 50/50, 75/25, etc. Breeding with the original lines and re-breeding/inbreeding within those offspring will even out the genetics towards your ideal plant. Something to plan on for your next grow.

I'd look at other people's grows that have done what you're tying to do, there are quite a few AK47xLowryder mixes already out there, you can buy seeds of proven lines if you'd rather go that route.

(currently out of stock though)

so when I plant these theres no way to know if there auto or not,
the enviourment where im at you cant grow normal plant do to
the light and cold at the end of the season, so if I get a sug of seeds
and put them out chances are that a good amout will never fully
get done, that sucks and there no way to buy that many seeds
without spending a fortune.

Well 50/50 is good enough I would think.. I'm in the same situation as you cause I live up north in alaska and the light cycle doesn't really work for growing outdoors. I was thinkin about doing the Diesel Ryder though and growing outdoors next year too.

funny you called it, im up in AK also well if 50/50 is as good as it gets il just
up the numbers a bit, what type of yeild can a person look at getting from these auto flowering strain outside?

Well I tend to do SOG and my plants end up to be around 15-20 inches currently and I pull about 3/4 ounce off each one right now indoors.. I would assume thats about how big the LR gets, but I dunno. Heres a pic of 3 of my ladies right now, you can see that there not all uniform height too, and shit one of them is a tri-node. :P

Dude, you are full of shit... you have it backwards...F1 generations will throw a bunch of different phenos. Then the F2 generation throw more consistent phenotypes...

The parental generation is the cross pollination between two true-breeding plants that differ in a particular trait.

The F1 (first filial) generation is the hybrid offspring produced in the cross pollination of P generation plants.
