New on the site today, they have coming soon a 300w red white and a 500, and a 90w veg light. I have been waiting for a while but am definitely buying my firat led light. Going to get the 90w veg, im pretty excited to see these lights, despite working 12 hours today, and I have buds that need trimming, im beat. Im guessing the 300 and 500 are just the same as the 150 and 75, but bigger. Would love to see 2 500 rw vs a 1000w digilux. Maybe after I see the 90w veg light, I will give diy crees a go.

Looks like they have been busy at area-51. I wonder how much rollitup helps turn people on to thier products. I would know no better if it werent for reading some of you led gurus' posts. Maybe one of you bigwigs that run the site could email area51 and let them know this site really promotes thier product because they are obviously one of the few companies putting out good led grow light and see if they will do a small discount code for rollitup members, just to see how many orders they get as a direct result of this site. I bet it would be significant enough to possibly get discounts when they have new products. Just peek thier curiosity and say they would probably get a lot of orders even if it was a small bonus discount from rollitup, even 10$. Wonder hownlong it will take for them ready to ship.

Yes, A51 has benefited from all of our grow journals, and pics, here on RIU.
Then again, all of our gardens have benefited from A51, so everybody wins.
Besides, A51 just dropped all of their prices on the site when they added the new lights to it.
But thanks for the heads up about them adding the new lights to their catalog.

Since they are almost always sold out on their new products, it wouldn't make any sense to offer a discount for any reason. You give discounts to increase sales. They sell everything they can make, so giving discounts wouldn't increase sales, just reduce profit.

I've never seen a 400 hps with that much par before. Most are around 700 umole/s... Hmmm. 1549 umole/s is higher than some 1000w's solistek, lumatek, etc... An Ushio 600w (2nd highest par hps) is 1150 umole/s. He must of measured a CMH elite agro to get those par numbers.

Any educated guesses on what a rw 500 would cover.
I'm thinking about getting a Apache at200.
But I just might save a little bit more and get this new rw 500.

Im assuming its to compete in the bigger led market sized lights to cover the standard 4x4ft that most growers need aka 1000 hid watt replacement. if the rw150 unit cover 2x3ft the 500 watt better cover 4x4 imo for the 1500$

Like the xml350 and the at600.
Im sure it will be a great light

I'm thinking it will be. I'm surprised its sold out before people barely knew about it...the xml 350 style never really caught my eye, or lumigrows 650 , the new neosol are crazy priced...so the at660 for 2000 or a rw500 for 1500 tough call for me personally. Wish i could afford both and do a side by side lol

Really do not think EH will mind me throwing this up but this was what he told me in an email so I do not think its a big secret....

There's a lot of unknowns regarding the 300 and 500. As of now, the plan is to make the 300 18"x18", but also considering 18"x26", I want to see the added coverage with the larger shape before deciding. I want it to cover 3x3 just as good as the 75 covers 20"x20".

The 500 will more than likely be 26"x26", and will be for a 4x4 area.

Power will be 310w and 515w. There's thoughts of making a bigger 700w model, I want to make a prototype and get some numbers off of it to see if it's worthwhile to have anything that big.

Best Regards,
Jeff
Mind you this was a month ago, probably some different plans for the 300, he did not even mention the veg light.

me too. I'd throw the 160 in veg and rock one a51 500 and the at600. I have the room just not $3500 to drop... I like the idea of 515 w instead of 685w for same foot print. I still would like to see some measurements on the RW's

Just my guess here, but at 500w I would expect a light to perfectly cover a 3x3. I feel like 4x4 might be stretching it on the outmost edges. The thing about a51 panels is that the leds are usually spread out. I feel like the number of leds per panel (considering the physical dimensions) are on the low side. Perhaps its meant to be that way for better heat dissipation. But just my personal preference, a 4x4 should have at least 600+ watts to compete with 1k hps in the same space.

But I'm very much looking forward to more information coming out about these new models. I'm sure they will be solid lights based on track record.

Of all people I thought you would be my best chance at seeing the neosol ds 520 in action!

I'm very disappointed in you:-P
