Some home made fries finally. Did what someone suggested was to pre cook at a lower temperature. Normally I would have done both at 375-400. Did the first cook at 300-320 for 5 minutes then rest for 20. Turned out great. Made the fries pretty big. 366302DA-8D39-484F-8F72-73A4CD2AB54D.jpeg

Since the oil is still out going to try wings tonight. Normal size separated pieces.
Any idea on time temp? Was going to try 380 ish 10-15 minutes. Been awhile can’t remember. Cheers.

Dinner last night. Buffalo chicken strips and fries. The strips were the tenders from bone in breasts I broke down and froze. I cut the bones out but left the skin on and removed the tenders. The bones will be used to make stock for chicken Pho.

Just frozen Kroger Crinkle Cut fries. They're actually a good product. 12 minutes in the air fryer. Frying potatoes is a hassle. If you don't double fry you get soggy fries. The air fryer frozen fries are always nice and crispy and much less hassle. While not the best they're good enough and make things much easier.

The sauce is dijon mustard and horseradish. No ketchup or mayonnaise for me. The chicken marinated overnight in Franks hot sauce and was then coated 3 times in a dry mix of all purpose flour, cornstarch, rice flour, sea salt, MSG, black pepper, and garlic powder. I'm not making it up when I say they're totally awesome. And as far as MSG is concerned I just use a little but it makes all the difference. It just makes things taste better. I use it sparingly but I use it.

There were 6 pieces of chicken tenders. I ended up eating them all last night.

I don't see any mustard on that sandwich. What's the problem? You don't like mustard? :mrgreen:
The last time you mention my lack of mustard use, I looked in the shelf and found a brand new squeeze bottle of yellow mustard.

The expiry date was 2019, so I opened it to see what it looked like and it was brown and literally looked like shit, so now my desire for mustard is even less.

There's a lot of people that don't like mustard. I'm a mustard lover myself. I eat sliced bread with mustard. I love the stuff. I don't like honey mustard though. It's too sweet. I like the tart, tangy, and spicy stuff. I really like mixing the powdered mustard myself for a sinus clearing delicious condiment. One of my go to dipping sauces is dijon mustard mixed with horseradish.

I had a roommate way back in the day that didn't like mustard. He'd put ketchup on a hot dog. Drove me crazy. :mrgreen:
