The big reason people use VG is that it creates a shit-ton of vapor compared to PG. More VG in a mix = more vapor. Straight PG
can be a little harsher on the throat but, that's usually dependent on the nicotine level and any added alcohol content. (nicotine has a peppery taste/feel to it). VG also dulls flavor quite a bit compared to PG and its much sweeter tasting by itself. The amount of vapor has no correlation to the affect of vaping.
My issue is mixing. The concoction I made last year mixed VERY well into straight PG with very little heat. It worked incredibly well. It wasn't until I went for more vapor and mixed 10% VG into the mix that I suffered serious separation and couldn't get it to stay blended.
I want to know what they're mixing THC and CBD into for the oils being sold. I know there a few things
like PG out there that aren't the best for vaping from a health aspect. ( been studying this stuff for almost 10 years now). I've seen some dude on this forum trying to sell some "special mixture" for making THC ejuice. One of the ingredients they add can cause whats commonly known as popcorn lung if gets to the right temp (which is incredibly low). Another has been deemed likely bad for vaping as it's not meant to be ingested (but it's REALLY good for mixing oils with water,
).
As far a s a device for weed juice? That's a tough one. I'm not up to date on current new toys. I'm using a couple years old stuff that's on the higher end range of devices for nicotine. Most of what I use has a steep learning curve ( temp, wattage, voltage, and ohms of the coil all matter ) and most smokers can't handle a hit from my device without coughing for an hour. And yes, I'm talking heavy cig smokers coughing their asses off from a hit of juice that tastes like Jolly Rancher watermelon! lol
I'd suggest finding out what disposable tanks people suggest to use as most mixes make a sticky mess of atomizers. When I get to playing around with this stuff more, I'll be able to recommend something. I just can't in good conscience have you going and buying a $100+ worth of vape supplies that would kick ass with nic ejuice but might fail miserably with sticky weed juice.
I may be a pro when it comes to vaping, but I'm a total noob to sticky weed juice.
