*newb* monster build, pics, lets do this!

this is the reflector i just bought, i purchased a 400watt system just for the seedlings, so i can get mothers. i removed the 1000 for now. as u can see we removed the inline fan on the inside for which we believe made a little echoing sound we didnt like so we mounted it on the roof under a water proof box that matches the roof. plus we feel the room will have a better look an clutter free environment. i got 1 veg light MH 400watt, Lumatek 400watt, reflector.

we wanted a nice clean look for the wires coming in, so we purchased these desk rings which only have enough room for 1 thick wire. we are able to slide up and down the wire and we consider it a great thing so we dont have air slipping in also.

this room u see on the side is the actual new grow room we are building, the dimensions are as followed, 10feet long, 8 feet wide, and 10 foot ceilings, this is where my 2 1000watt systems will go. and the current room will only be a curing and working room next. clones, curing, working area, etc..

Obviously this is incredible! I just hope you guys dont go balls to the wall then have a bad experience or 2 and quit...the more cash and effort your pour in the more personally it affects you when it starts to go bad.

But you dont strike me as the panicky type...if someone tells you something and you arent 100% trusting double check their facts! remember you spent the cash on your setup, and they aren't going to lose a thing if it goes wrong! You learn pretty quick who is helping and whos just trying to get their answer in first, regardless of if they know what they are talking about or not.

well i am not sure how to subscribe but this is awesome!!! hps is the way to go 100% in my eyes anyway keep up the great work

thanks fellas, one quick question what 6 hours of the day are the hottest? some one told me 11am - 5pm is the hottest time of the day, i ask because im going to run the 400watt system tomorrow and how high should it be from the babies. thanks

id think that depends on where you live and what season...but id say 11am-5pm would be the hottest part of the day with it starting to cool down by 4-5pm...also depends on the weather outside and if your growing indoor or outdoor

thanks scott, i started doin some online searching on weather sites etc... 11am-5pm is just about right from what i was able to dig. question to all what can stunt the growth of seedling babies, i introduced my babies to the 400watt MH bulb yesterday and i didnt see any noticeable growth in them today. i have it on 18-6 lighting. any idea? should i transplant to bigger pots cuz i see one little tiny root peeking out on the bottom of the cups. i posted a link of them on a reply its on page 6, #58

frist off the rooms are looking awesome, wish i had that much space!!!!

well i would say that between 4-5pm is the hottest part of the day

i would keep that 400 aleast a couple feet away from your plants at first, so that they can get accustomed to the light

and as far as the lighting cycle, everybody does it differently.
But i use 20/4 light cycle, cause thats what i see has the best results for me.

i usually transplant when they are around 2-3 weeks old, so not to stress them out to much...

but thats just my opinion.....read around and go with the best results.....peace

well dude ur definently on the right track. like stoney says a few feet is perfect, i usually set mine from 3pm-9am and flower from 6-6 seems to keep cooler running at night. you are buling a damn nice space and i am stoked to see how everything goes !!!

nice room, i take clones out of the box and put them under a 400 at about 36"-40" for a couple days. when they get used to it you will see them go, then i set them on a shelf so the tips are 12-14" away from the glass. they are usually ready for the shelf in about 3 days. good luck and keep the pics coming.

thanks fellas, i got jumpy and made a mistake by starting the MH off at 1 foot away!!! :( i think i burnt them i reposted in the thread u guys can check them out, but i raised the light up again to 2feet. hope it will bounce back tell me what you think of the damage. i will forsure keep this thread full of pics! :D here r the pics what do u guys think....
