so am i at the right time frame with this grow and strain, i planted them september 88/9 and recently they've shown white pistils starting at the 5th node and up is this signs of flowering or just the 18/6 showing preflowers?
If you see white hairs its female, if it has white hairs and little small football shaped balls it's a hermie, just balls is a male plant.

If you started on Sep. 9, you should be flowering by now for sure. That means your plants are about 35 days old, yeah you should be about one or two weeks into flowering. I still have mine on 18/6 lighting schedule. The bud sites are multiplying day by day and the hairs just keep getting prettier and prettier. I would say my NL all seem to be pretty uniform, pretty steady genetics. I will update some better pics soon. Found the digital camera so I will show you guys how far along my ladies are. I think I have about 7 to 8 weeks left until harvest.

Quick question, if I want my bud to be like a uppy/couchlock mix. I heard you can do this if you harvest when the trichs are about 50% amber, is this correct? How many weeks should I let my ladies flower for? I am thinking total flower time of 8 weeks. My oldest plant has been in flower for two weeks so I guess she might be ready in 6.

well about 75% of the bud should be amber, and if you go to a Lowes or some tool store and buy a work lamp remove the safety glass thats in front of it that lamp will put off a high dose of ultra violet radiation which will trich your bud to an almost snow look and an increase in potentcy, but only for 2 or 3 times out of the day for 3 mins per plant till harvest, about 2 weeks before you harvest and all around the plants and bud but for only 3 mins or it will burn your plant . keep smoking bro and thanx for info heres what that work lamp does, these are my aurora my last grow.:leaf:

ok, i have heard so many different things, but if 12/12 will help bud development then i will have to put them back on to the 12/12/ schedule.

Sorry man, dont mean to confuse you. Be careful about switching the photoperiod/time. Messing with the photoperiod is major cause of hermie. 12/12 will make it flower, as these AF most often dont AF. And it doesnt appear to me that yours are not AF. But whatever you decide, pick 18/6 or 12/12 but dont yo yo it around.

Looking good bro. I think those four plants might just make it in that tote. You might want to switch that to 12/12, I dont see much bud development, and I'm not sure you will until you go 12/12. Good luck.
Cyrptonic I am not trying to judge your knowledge of growing but I thought autoflowering strains weren't photoperiod depevendent, I have read that if you do 12/12 on autoflowering strains that it will effect your yield, but negatively, I heard keep it 18/6 all the way through harvest.

dude these are autoflower not the normal ones, i heard some do need 12/12 but thats rare with northern light(nirvana) a majority of people who grew it has said that they work great, but thats just this strain and lowryder.:leaf:

I would have left it in 12/12 they are running like normals you put it in to 12/12 to get it to flower i would have just stuck with it. How is the 18/6 working now? alot of change everyday?

No worries man, I dont that much lol. And yes, your right, AF are not photoperiod sensitive, if they have been bred correctly. But, the Nirvana AF NL most ofter do not flower w/out putting them in 12/12. My plants were vegged for seven weeks or so, and would not flower until I put them in 12/12.

So, when you switch to 12/12 they did start to flower right? When you switched back to 18/6 did they slow down or stop flowering all together. Judging by your pics, it looks to me like your plant reveged. Your bud sites should be more developed right now.

Not sure what to tell you. You can leave it 18/6 to see if they will AF, but they may not. Or you can switch back 12/12 and see what happens. Never switch a plant from flower back to veg times, it can really screw the plant up.

they look like they are starting to flower, but not sure. Yea i didnt want to take the chance of them not flowering cuz of what everyone was saying about them so i just threw them into 12/12 when they got to how tall i wanted them.
nice looking plants by the way =) Great work
