Read again, I think you misinterpret what I meant. I was saying the pandemic has taken freedoms from us. The freedom to interact, travel, spend time with each other. Not that the politics has done it.

I contend the pandemic has not so much taken freedoms from ya but rather raised the challenge: what are we as individuals and community willing to do to save our largest number?

And those of us who don’t want to save the largest number, what is their program?

I think this could go either way. We could develop a vaccine that eradicated it, or... one that is annual like common flu. Or worse, long term living like this. Inconvenient for a year sure, but for a lifetime is scary as hell.

My best info says that a vaccine is a long time in coming, and playing a catch-up game as this virus shatters into dozens of distinct serotypes.
So I do see this as the kicker for a basic lifestyle change. Herd immunity doesn’t work on this virus, and it mutates faster than vaccine engineers can keep up. We have to admit we simply are not as modern as we’ve been told all our lives.

Yep, thats my biggest fear.... well behind finding out its man made. The US China and Russia all 3 illegally practice gain of function research under the table so it wouldn't take but one sloppy yahoo in a lab to ruin the planet. If not this virus then another one later. I used to think that thinking that way was paranoia.

It might be truth and it might be paranoia. I’m adrift without anchor in this weirdness. But I will make DAMN sure my paper ballot goes into a physical ballot box.

Me too. For all that it matters. Hard to believe my single vote matters these days. If you aint in a swing state you don't matter.

You matter for state and local contests. These will matter a lot. I’m in a very nonswing state but I will do my bit to take the Senate back. Oh and rail against the plebiscites ... I reliably vote counter to my fellow citizens, sigh

Meh, even state and local here are pretty pointless most of the time. I can say that at least on a state and local level we seem to get better candidates on both sides of the aisle. National is fucked on both sides of the aisle. They all seem corrupt or morally bankrupt at national level to me.

I was surprised at all the comments... Indeed, there are many perspectives to ponder, many beliefs, etc.... however, we are far from being alone even on this planet. I find it all very intriguing and hope full disclosure happens during this life... But I hope even more that all of us here on Earth will be given the opportunity to advance into the stars...

Yeah, I am referencing a declassified pentagon document that referres to existing "Non-Terrestrial Officers" within our government. This was highlighted on a more current episode of Ancient Aliens... The cover-up goes on, regardless of the disclosure act... I hope this answers your question...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a creationist in the traditional sense but the sumarian sanscrit, ancient cuneiform, and Hebrew Bible along with Hindu vedas and Buddhist texts all reference interference in our evolution by "god". I just happen to believe those gods were actually visitors from other worlds, times, dimensions etc... where is heaven?? Another dimension, world, universe, time??? No idea.

Another thing that makes me think is the gods used to interact with us regularly, then a couple thousand years ago they just stopped, odd. I just don't think a God in the sense we know him in Christianity would disappear without explanation.

So I have just as much evidence of my theory as evolution does. Both are just theories.

And yes, I have more than a casual knowledge. I graduated from liberty university where I was required to study Christianity as well as other religions. I studies Hindu and Buddhism pretty extensively. I was fascinated by Sikhism as well, it is the most well rounded of them all in my opinion.

Indeed, I am right there with you... I try to align my perspective on the "Good" side of things, it helps keep me calm and open. Time will tell and I hope we as a race are ready to join the others in our galaxy. Peace to you and thanks for the interesting responses. INDEED!
