is/was it hemp/cbd?I have no idea how these guys know it's not sativa, cuz I sure don't. I have a sativa sprout that's
6 weeks old and it's less than a foot tall, but it's a seed test plant, and is going into the trash soon.
For light it's only getting window sill during day, and an end table lamp at night. It's got a nice,
faint odor, too. I know it's sativa, cuz the father plant was like 8 feet tall, and the buds the neighbor
gave me were no-high, pretty much. Not that that's an indication of it's pheno, but i'd bet it is sativa.
No, no, for sure it was sativa, and not hemp. I've seen 15 foot hemp plants. Theis/was it hemp/cbd?
Well, it's illegal for one thing, unless i have a med card or get a rec grow registration. Why are you afraid to grow again? lol
I appreciate your encouraging comments. It's not the overall height I'm referring too. My concern is the distance between nodes. This plant it 24" tall and only has 3 nodes. Now the side branches are behaving the same way. One went almost 12" before it gets to the first set of leaves.I don’t understand the problem. Your plant looks rather small for 6 weeks to me. Have you thought about topping it and training a bit? My sativas are generally 3 times that size by 6 weeks and have staggered nodes as well by then, but are in SIPs so grow fast. Just let her grow, but start some training to shape her as desired. She looks good, no reason to start over at all.
I never looked at it that way. Thank you.I think they look great, outdoors that spacing may be a blessing in disguise to help with good airflow
If 24” and 3 nodes it is stretching for light more than likely. That won’t be a problem soon since outdoors. I would top above the second node, wait for her to grow decent tops, then top these again. This will keep her shorter and better than starting over. You can always start another now as well just in case it doesn’t work out.I appreciate your encouraging comments. If you're saying this is normal, then I'll go have a double scotch and try to relax. I prefer not to pop next years feminized seeds if I don't have to. I have trellis netting and bought a bunch of 48" bamboo stakes.
All very true, I was working on the assumption he wanted to keep it shorter for some reason.Way overthinking this plant .
First , it’s healthy. Second , plants give zero shits on what week in growth it is. As long as it is growing and forming a structure - who cares what the node lengths are ?
Strain is probably leaning to the other parent lineage. It is a hybrid plant hands down. But that does not mean high will not show some sativa effects. Heavy sativa learners will show narrow leaf characteristics. The buds final structure can also show some sativa pheno ( spear shape ) during later flower too.
Just stay the course and grow it out.
Hook Daddy, thank you for reading between the lines ; ) Yes, the finishing height is my primary concern. Anything taller than 5' will be spotted by my neighbor's gardener. It's legal here, but I don't want her stolen. Diameter is not an issue, and I respect Budzbuddha's pragmatism, so I'm going to top and top, and LST the S#!T out of her!All very true, I was working on the assumption he wanted to keep it shorter for some reason.
