So I open the door tonight and what do I see? All the biggest tops got all the leaves curled up, crunchy and dark purple spots on em!
Im pretty sure its from heat stress because they grew a lot over night and got kinda close to the light (maybe 8-9 in?). Somehow the temps got upto 87 yesterday (saw it on high/low on thermometer) So I raised the light and turned the fan up one notch. The temps stayin at 80 so hope this helps. Nothing happened to the baby clones so that makes me almost positive that its from heat.
How bad do u think this is gonna effect my yeild? First time dealing with heat stress (used to running air cooled hoods). Im guessin all those leaves are gonna not recover right?
The other thing....I checked the soil runoff ph and it was like 9.5. Wtf!? why is all this random shit happening? I checked th run off a few days ago and it was 6.8. Weird. So I just went and got shit load of water and im flushing them right now.

the burns dont look too bad, your girls will be fine......my first grow the temps were never under 90F, sometimes well over 100F and probably averaged around 95F and the leaves only burned when within inches of the light
the purple spots will eventually dry out and you may lose only a few leaves leaving plenty more leaves with only burnt edges......no worries

Thanks man. Makes me feel a lot better. Any ideas why soil ph would be so high? Only fed twice since last time I checked with about 800ppm and 6.4 ph.
So how did that high heat grow go? Cuz I got plenty of room in the attic that I was thinking I could use just to veg. At night its pretty cool up there but during the day it gets upto prolly llike 95. They would be getting only 4 hours of day time heat cuz I would run them 16/8 so im sure I could pull it off..

im actually suffering from high ph right now as well, my ph is about 9 right now.....i havent been very consistent in checking ph after adding nutes to the water so im paying the price....it actually would only take a watering or two to change the ph of soil....so its safe to say that we're both slacking off right now
the high heat grow actually went well...i vaped it all....
