I plant garlic in late October and it sprouts within week or so, onion sets go in in November. I'm in Zone 9b, we get a little frost, but usually no hard freezes, last time it snowed was 25 years ago. Last couple years we've gotten almost no frost. My asparagus usually pops about early-mid February into April, after that I let it go to seed for the spring/summer.Yea were in different zones for sure, lol are garlic gets planted in November then the snow and winter comes then poke out in March. Yea same here with asparagus, you know when it starts to get bitter just leave it to grow and chop down in end of year. Looks cool with red berries definitely needs tying so doesn't flop over.I plant garlic in late October and it sprouts within week or so, onion sets go in in November.
