Hello this is my first time posting here, but not exactly first grow. However dwc is new to me and I have 6 buckets atm with many different formulas to try and pin point my prob.. The new growth on the top shoots are really looking weathered, they are basically canoeing downward with a little hook to the tips.. They are also light in color, while the fan leaves appear to be in perfect shape still.. This is happening to the plants located under 200w HID lamp where are on the other side are 3 large cfl's in which the new growth isnt canoeing down but the new growth is still having a bubbly rough texture that isnt healthy.
I assume the canoeing was maybe a light intensity problem or heat so ive moved it up, however it seems like the nutrients are the main source of the prob. Im using Jungle Juice 3 part (same as general hydroponics) and started them off at equal parts without calimagic initially then decided to pick it up and have been adding it since. oddly 5 of the 6 plants started really getting more and more purple on the fan leaf stems and main stalk (these are all kryptonite clones). So this is why i first thought mg and added epsom to one, while adding the calimagic to others.
All of these plants were started from clone on the 3rd of this month and have been given 250-390ppm from rooted clones at equal parts of MicroGrowBloom. So basically 1 of these plants looks to be in great shape all growth looks rather healthy, this is the one plant that was not directly under the lamp, however its just a 200w mh that was started at 3ft up. So it was also on the low end of the ppm range out of the 6 from start, but im running identical ppm's on the other side 2 plants under cfl as this one (started them 5-7days later) and they are still having slow textured growth with lots of purple stems.
All the roots look to be in pretty good health there was initially some slime build so I started adding Dutchmaster Zone early on and it has been keeping the water very clean, while generally im dealing with a brown/yellowish slime.. Im in netpots with hydroton 3.75in netpots so i try and keep the water level about 1 inch below the bottoms. everything above the water level gets a good coating of slime though but everything in the water submerged is staying very clean thanks to the zone i assume.
OK SOOO sorry for all this info but I know some smart people here would want this info to help me out.. So this is where im at now, I have basically been using HYGROHYBRID's method of the 3 part and ppm concentration and have realized its garbage and im thinkin its because hes usin fkin shop/rooting lighting for veg where he keep ppm 400-500 through veg. I assume the purple is from lack of NPK not mg def.. so ive decided to try the stronger ppm's ive used in the past.. Now this is whats in the plants..
((ALL ppm are .5 scale)) and silica used as ph up.
1) Hygrohybrid equal parts ratio with just 160ppm Calimagic + Zone @ 573ppm 5.8ph.. (Best plant very healthy ATM 200w MH lamp)
2) HygroHybrid equal parts with 250ppm Calimagic + Zone @ 447ppm 6.0 (under large Cfl's)
3) Lucas Formula with just 80ppm of Calimagic + 5micro/10Bloom + little h202 No Zone @ 734ppm 5.6ph (under 200w MH)
4) Useless (10Grow-5Micro-3Bloom) method + No Calimagic or Zone @ 850ppm 5.8ph (under large CFL's)
5) My Own ratio (7g-4m-3b) with 80 ppm Calimagic + Zone @ 625ppm 5.9ph (under 200w HID)
So this is where im at as far as nutrients too irritated with all the hype and crap about what will help my problem so decided to see which works best however still completely baffled why 1 plant look soo great when the others keep experiencing probs.. Anyone's input would be helpful thanks in advanced. I can get pics or a youtube vid if needed
