Look at Afghanistan, Doesn't appear to have what we crave, no oil. So why are we there. if one looks at the countries to the north of afghanistan one will find the country of Uzbekistan. They are suppose to have tremendous reserves of undeveloped oil. I don't remember the percent of world reserves but I think it was around 40% . This will be huge in the future and who ever controls it will be sitting pretty. If we control afghanistan we will then have a place to put a pipeline so we can pump uzbekistan's oil down to the gulf so we can ship it. devious huh. Our leaders seem to never tell us the whole story about anything important. I believe they don't trust the american public when it comes to the security of our country. We are just told what they are forced to tell us. Are they right to not tell us about things that might make us unhappy or mad? maybe Do we want to pay ten dollars a gallon or have our country go out and obtain oil by force if necessary. tough question

well we did buy the oil and I think the shaw was the one pillaging iran but we did the iranians no favors. i can see you are unhappy about what we did but this is what countries do. All of them. I have read another theory from a pakistani I believe about 911 that is very interesting and coincides with us wanting to grab mideast oil. But boy would it make our country look bad if widely believed. It is a shocker and so far I haven't been able to put any holes in the theory. I really don't even want to know if it is true.
It is sort of like Pearl Harbor. Many say our leaders knew of the attack on pearl harbor but we failed to warn them in time because we wanted a bloody beating so our pacifist country would get in the war. it seems our aircraft carriers were ordered to leave pearl harbor before the strike. why because they realized the coming war would be an airwar and our obsolete battleships didn't matter so let them be sunk to make our people mad.
