Recirculating dwc

I'm planing on building a recirculating dwc system and have everything figured out except does the control bucket have to be the same size as the grow buckets and what would be a good inline pump?

I think your control bucket needs to be as big or bigger than your grow buckets. That way, when you flood all of your buckets, your control bucket won't overflow. The float inside the control bucket (you will set it), will stop water from continuing to flow in. Sorry, but am not up on pumps enough to advise anyone.

control bucket only need to be as big as the other buckets, since water will allways try to stay leveled

Have you given any thought to running your ebb and flow so that it almost never drains, making it more DWC? I am reading some posts about it, but there is not a large amount of information on it yet. I've done both, and my roots with DWC are much more robust and white than the roots in the ebb and flow. Thinking about trying ebb&flow-DWC. Any experiences or insights you have on that would be nice, but if not, just turn up some music and have a great day!
