For sure man! I just put the thermometer in their with them and I will check in about 30 minutes to make sure they are good for the night. About an hour before they got put in here I watered until very little run off. This will be a very good test to see how it does in their. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help. +rep to you

Hey nice strains man. I think the dome will help a ton while they are real fragile like this. When you go to transplant you will be fine opening them up to the atmosphere slowly. But get them transplanted asap...I find the tap root hits the bottom of the little cube within a day or two of them popping up and they have a slow start without medium to root into well. Don't wanna stunt them early ya know. Anyways I'll keep a eye on your progress, best of luck.

BTW I got a little antsy i ran out and bought LST supplies and gave it a shot...i know it isn't the PROPER way people do it i don't think...but hell with it i wanted to do it...i will put up a pic of my little bitch all tied up too so you can tell me what you think...Here is the site - http://www.smartpots.com/buy-products - I am going to be doing a bunch of research tonighttopping seems somewhat easy to do for the most part and I think I understand that, just not sure as to WHEN I should top them. The LST is what I really need to read about. I understand the process just wouldn't feel comfortable doing it yet because there is so many un-knowns to me. I can't decide if I want to finish in 3gal or 5gal pots yet, maybe once I see these pictures you speak of it will help make my mind up!

the meaning of LST is different for different people. there is the time consuming way and the easy way. the easy way is to simply take the tallest part of the plant and bend it over until it's pointing down. this willstart the multiple colas. wait a couple days and tie it down again.
as far as watering a teaspoon at a time! knock it off! put a reasonable amount of water in the pot and leave it alone for a few days.

So when I woke up this morning to check on them the soil is still moist! Seems like the dome is doing its job. I am going to leave them how they are and check them in a couple hours to make sure they are still moist. My girls are starting to kind of make an arch at the top of them, do I need to support them at all? I am going to the grow shop today to get some pots but when do you think I should put them into bigger pots? they first sprouted 11/1/11

ASAP get them into solo cups at least... then up pot later. Helps if you use solo -> 2 gal ->5 gal... or some variation, not sure the max size ur trying to go. Gets a more dense root system then going strait to a 5gal pot believe it or not.
About the support. When you transplant them bury the stem to about 1" below the cotyledon (round leaves that r first to appear). The stem will grow roots and it actually helps stimulate growth a bit IMO. Tomato plants show a similar phenomenon, you bury 2/3 of them as clones and they explode with growth.

OK I will put them in cups today then. Is it OK to put them directly into roots organic soil? I'm at the grow store right now buying smart pots and calmag haha

Yes. Low nutrient soil is what you want. Organics are good for weak seedlings because they typically are much harder to burn your plants with than synthetics. Beware tho, organics are slightly slower growing, rely on bacteria in the root zone, produce a better aroma/taste, and a lower yield than synthetics. Your other option is to go 'soilless' with something like Sunshine Mix#4 which is inert, then u buy a nutrient made for hydro like H&G Aquaflakes or Ionic and add that with your waterings. Your store should be able to advise you more on this.

yes you can put straight into roots organic.....I start all my seedlings and clones in roots organic......I don't recommend transplanting yet until your seedlings root system is more established.....you can transplant but if you don't have experience transplanting you could have problems like damaging the small fragile root ball because I doubt that the root ball is big enough yet.......but if your heart is set on it make sure you water thoroughly the day before you transplant that way the soil will stay together when transplanting....

Don't confuse him lol But I agree, after u put em in solo cups/sized pots let them be for atleast a couple weeks before you transplant to a larger container to ensure the root system is well established. Also don't forget drainage holes, always important.

Not trying to confuse anybody....I could of sworn he said the soil kept drying out....that's why I was under the impression his seedlings were in soil not starter cubes....sorry....

I apologize for the confusion that is my fault! I have a little seed starter kit from HTGsupply that I started them in and they are currently in. I just pulled it out to take a quick peek at the bottom and I can see a little bit of root! I just got home with some 3gal smart pots I picked up from homegrown. I already have three bags of roots organic ready to go. So just to clear up, I should transplant now correct? Thanks a ton guys
