Seedling Crystals?

Hi Guys,

First time poster and very inexperienced. I know you don't get crystals until flowering but what are these? Thanks

Where did you get the seeds from

Maybe they are auto flowering seeds

maybe they can be lowryder autoflowering seeds like he sad let it grow out more than if u see it start to bud forsure its a lowryder plant

funny, they even look cloudy. i was under the impression that you CAN get trichs before flowering. ive been told its a good trait to look for when selecting parents for breeding.

Autoflower? It's only 7 days old and maybe pushing a 1/2 inch across. Does that sound right?

I got the seeds from cannabisseeds.com. I ordered White Rhino but none of the seeds germinated so they sent me 12 White Widow. I'm not impressed with their seeds.

Anyway, the seedling has been pushed down into the sphagnum moss. This moss is all I had since I normally grow carnivorous plants. I pushed the seedling down so that the root would come in contact with the nutrient fog.

I'm currently running a foggoponics unit that I made from a rubbermaid and a ultrasonic humidifier. Right now I have 1/3 strength MG and 1/8 strength Schultz African Violet food with a pH of around 7.

So, if these are trichs does that mean it is a female?

How does autoflowring affect things, is it bad?

my whiteberry plant did that...it just means conditions and good genetics...had nothing to do with autoflowering...in my case

i dont think its an autoflower. trichs develop on male and female plants so theyre not a sex indicator. i would take it a a sign that you could have one resinous plant on your hands.

are your lights on 18/6? I think that would happen when you put them on 12/12 from babys

I don't turn the lights off. It's one 23watt 6500K CFL about 2 inches from the seedling. I'm using a reflector so only one light is needed for now.

Looks like some sosrt of fungus to me, like some1 said maybe powdery mildew, what are your temps and humidity?

This is very sad but im afraid thats not crystals thats powder mold. A family Member had the same Problem Its because of humidity. send me a pic of your growroom please.

I know very little about fungus but it doesn't really look like it. It's evenly distributed across every leaf. Because fungus spreads asexually it radiates from several regions. This doesn't appear to be the case. If you look at the right most leaf in the picture you can see hairs. Now compare those hairs to the size of the white beads.... the beads are large.

I did my best to look at the beads with a 20x microscope eye piece and they are spherical. It's hard to say what the color is because the eye piece blocked most of the light but from what I could see they were mostly white with a gray hue. The gray could be due to low light levels and so my retinal rods kicked in (they only produce monochrome vision).

Well The only other reason is it could be a auto-flowering. What type of plant did you get?

The temps are 69 and humidity 49%.

White Widow, non-fem.

If it is powdery mold what should I use against it? It couldn't hurt to pick something up in case things start going down hill.
