If the soil is too heavy/without enough aeration it probably would get anaerobic. I did a drainage test when making my soil recipe. If it puddles on top and stays like that for maybe 5-10 seconds approximately it’s not aerated enough, but also on the flip side you don’t want too much otherwise it won’t wick up in the pot.
Do you all inoculate the soil then when enriched just keep water in it and microbials process the bone meals, feather meals, fish meals, bat guanos ext ? Or do you use a 3 part and when it's mixed and ph'd just add it to the reservoir ? I hate being a perfectionist because it's hard making changes, hmmmm maybe it's OCD ? Head scratcher.......... Hahaha I may do my homework and try again later on and for now I'm just sizing my pots up from 3 to 5 gal and adding mycos and azos try and get my uptake to increase nitrogen and humic acids.
