Skunk seeds just germinated from the mid 1980's - 35 years old!!!

Any idea if it is from nevils stock or the usa nl 5 ?
The seeds came from a farmer who’s parents grew weed back in the 80’s here in the US and had them in the freezer all these years. He specifically told me that they were from 1985. I thought freezing them would’ve killed the seeds, but evidently not. I’m still learning.

I dropped some seeds in the freezer and they were all no good, so go figure.

I think 1985 was the first year that Nevil placed the his first add in High Times. They can be anything but that was before everyone started hybridization on a larger level. The number 1 skunk I grew outdoors were Christmas tree type with big long buds on the ends. The secondary Buds were golfball sized . I really can't remember the leaf type but think that the packs I purchased that year from Nevil had thicker type leaves. That was long ago. In either case 1985 seed is as close as you can get to the old lines. You are doing well to grow these out.

Yesterday I was looking at Strainly. I saw an ad for Skunk posted by Dave Watson, "Sam the Skunkman" selling it for $5,000. I emailed Kevin Jodfrey who has been hunting Skunk for about 5 years. Kevin says he has Dave's seeds and they ain't the Skunk he is hunting. But there you go, news in the quest

Skunk = Indica. Indica = India. Therefore, Skunk is from India. They used to feed clarified butter sulfur fermented meat and heavy metals to get the smell. Now, we know not to use cadmium and rotten meat to grow weed. "Use it or lose it", and that's all the skunk thiol was: antioxidant against heavy metals.
