Got a call this afternoon from a DEA agent. He said he was at my property and was inquiring about my outdoor plants that are kinda visible. I do have a card and live in Ca. central valley... I told him I was out of town so he said he would stop by in the morning.

Any advise from those who have been through this? Anything I should or should'nt do or say? Anyway I don't think im gonna sleep good tonight.:peace:

whats the problem if you have a med card?
unless you are not supposed to row them outside?

no, growing them outside is not a problem but I do have some clones inside. Do clones count as plants?

yeah clones count as plants. if the dea didnt take your weed than i would suspect that they will just give you some bull shit. are you really out of town or did you just say that?

i think that you will be alright. if they wanted to arrest you, than they would have probably done so... now thats what i think. i have no idea what they will do. a fine? maybe they took your ganja, i dont know man but at least you have the card, and if you dont have some gigantic operation than it seems likely that they will not arrest you. but dont quote me on that.

KK so heres whats up? I don't have much experience with this sort of situation but the logical thing that comes to my mind is the following. BECAUSE You have a med card you are registered in the GOV computers and therefore are put on a visit list from the DEA... What they should do is walk around the FRONT of your house and see if any plants are visible from the road or "extremely" visible from the neighbors yards...aka if you don't have some sort of fence you could be fined... Idk.
But you have a card then you should be fine. If they do enter the house and find your clones say they its not for indoor growing its just to get the plants to a healthier state before you put them in the ground... Just like when I bring orchids in when its cold. I don't want them to freeze. You don't want your plants dying from the get go.
Anyways i hope ive been of some help.
Im gonna go play eve.
'Night.

i think we are all forgetting that the DEA has authority over the states drug laws

so your state MMJ card means nothing to them

stays relevant.

It varies county by county and also whether or not the patient has a recommendation. Giving him that advice may lead him to prison if you don't know which county he is in, which I am fairly sure you dont.

If the DEA is looking to talk to you, I would be concerned. Don't carry more than you know you can, and ask if he is able to just discuss this over the phone if you are uncomfortable with him. He can't just go around harassing people, so don't let him.

Conform to everything as far as state law is concerned and you will be fine even with the feds unless you have a huge operation or unless someone is just gunning for you for some reason.

They couldn't care less about small timers. Someone just complained because they saw your plants, and they will ask you to hide them better next season. I'd move a stash and some plants to a safe house just in case they do confiscate your outdoor plants or anything.

If that officer is out to get you though he can really screw you over, once in the federal system they limit youd ability to defend yourself. You can't even say things like medical marijuana or state card or that you tried to be legal as a defense. This is very unlikely, you'd already know if they were really out to get you hard core though. You wouldn't have gotten a courtesty call they'd have busted the door down and stormed in armed to the tee, and then shot your dogs. None of that happened, so no worries.

I think somebody is having a lend of ya.... I cant imagine they would give u a call and a heads up on a visit in the morning.... hide the clones for safetys sake but dont stress too much

Absolutley bring a lawyer.
This, as you're not supposed to grow without a locked greenhouse or such. And get yourself to plant count if that means killing off some clones. I don't know what the guidelines are in your county but if its the states baseline, you're allowed 6 mature plants OR 12 immature, not both. If you have one plant budding, you can only have 5 other plants in any stage ( seedlings - mature)

Do not talk to this clown! You have no way of knowing what or who he is.

Never talk to law enforcement ever!

Good luck.

If I was you, I wouldn't dismiss ANYTHING, just because you have a card. Albeit, the federal government has agreed with California to not meddle in MMJ affairs, they still have authority. My advice, be courteous, respectful and helpful. If he wants to step foot on your property, he needs a warrant, and you need an attorney.
