it only seems that way, I've seen one that big already build
thinking this was going to be the same with the DR300
i was so wrong to assume that,
looking at the grow lab unit closer, it has many small features the SJ dont
it has the same coating against IR as the SJ has,
same 95% reflective material
heavier hanging load (twice as the DR300 has),
bigger Air ducts entrance 10",
flange kits available to make custom ducts entrance or exits,
much wider seem covers for light penetration when you zip up
corners brackets are round,
external center beam support
these are only some of the lil mods grow lab has made to their tents
and from what I've seen in person, its a much more solid unit at this size in particular then the DR300

btw, i dont know if i gave you props, but props on the exhaust diy icebox thing.
can me and GB say we told ya so now?

i also got a super sun 2 reflector so i can try out one of those sun shield things from hydro innov and to help with the iceboxes.
i may also get an icebox for the tent as well and just not use my window a/c unless need be.
you think i can do it with a 30-50 gallon res? with 2- 1k watters?
what size res are you using?

i wanna do one of those DIY iceboxes like this one.. have one res, one chiller, and one loop to run.. and would definitely cool a lot more effectively than a few smaller iceboxes.. the only thing you would need then is a few small fans to blow air through the reflectors... ill bet this is gonna be a bad mofo

yea, this does seem more efficiently especially when bringing up cost factor
however, i dont think i produce enough heat...nor do i have the space to have an exhaust cooling off my room.

ty LB, yes you guys definitely told me so
i was shooting at no more then 50 gal res
if needed, ill get another rad unit in front of this one to get a better cooling out of the exhaust or get the 4 row model they have (special order)
yes the assumption is
you have a tube of some sort (I'm running sun tubes)
and your exhausting the hot air out of them with fans (i run 8" 667cfm canfan on each pair of tubes)

the tent's exhaust isnt really exhausted out of the lab... its just exhausted in the lab...lol recycled.
i guess i could rig up something to hang from the ceiling. it would be up really high though.
would cool air be of any help?

why does that matter, in fact; you'd slow down the air stream
which will just give you better cooling, since air isn't pushed through fast
are you running 2 x 1000w in your lab; and recycling with an AC?

see in my case, i wouldnt even use it as an exhaust, i would use it as an air conditioner...
i would hook it up to a can fan to a speed controller, and use it is a thermostat to control the chiller in my room.. id have the res and chiller, outside the grow room, and then just two lines running through the walls.. then i could have cold water constantly flowing through the radiator, and adjust the temp with the speed controller.
this will allow me to fully cool my room, without the need for exhaust, and easily maintain 1500ppm of co2, as efficiently as possible

i would think the only [would be] limiting factors would be res chiller size/power and fan power.
i blv you can use a fan adjuster/dimmer and that could be your temp adjuster

i am running a new test as of 11am this morning
running with 25 gallons, i want to see the pole down curve
i was pushing heat @129f through one side of the rad
getting... 72f - 74 on the other side,
water temps were above 50f at the time of the test
it held for about 15 min with the 10 gallon res
