I'm sorry I offended you, and I'm the first to admit we could do better too and have voiced this here. I hope we all ride on Joe's coatails. We have a minority government in Canada right now and the government better do a good job because there will be an inquiry on how to do better next time.

Sad that the covid virus has been spun into a way to make money, specially sad that it was our leader and his friends that profited off of it the most. Look back at the last last year and recall all the press conferences and tweets where stump plugged the benefits of whatever drug he was asked to plug. It actually made me laugh and angry because often the idiot couldn't even pronounce the name of the drug or the company that had produced it. Didn't whatever company that produced the drug to fight malaria not already make enough off of it? Stock market manipulation is a crime is it not, insider trading? Crazy to think about how many times he has broken the law or lied so openly without the least bit of shame. How many people around him bought stock in the companies that he touted as being a cure or as a way of treating the covid virus before he even went to the briefing room?

I'm looking forward to Trump's trials too.
Many of my posts have been identifying problems in American society, but also offering solutions to patriots and I'm doing research and learning every day. From what I've seen Joe has the right strategic approach to this problem of "domestic political terrorism" and it must be fought like you fight terrorists, settle genuine grievances where you can and cut off the support of reasonable people, calm everybody down so reason can prevail etc. tried and true.
As for the Georgia, fight like Hell for those two seats and if ya gotta drive Donald stark raving mad to do it fine, he's already doing his best to fuck you. Get the senate and now we is a talk'n!
Get 2 in Georgia and Mitch is fucked too, Kamala breaks all ties and the sky opens up.

I think that will be less of an issue than you might think, NPIs (Non Pharmaceutical Interventions) will save more lives, vaccines, even this one, are much less effective in the elderly, antibody therapies will be important too, but the numbers must be kept in check.

I've had Canadian politics threads here, but politics in Canada is frankly boring, as it should be. When America is firing on all cylinders, politics will be boring there too! Joe is a boring guy
but that is a good thing! Joe has the opportunity to be a historic president and he won't pass up the chance at glory, you get that when you do good too and Joe knows it.

We share a living room and TV, also the site is Canadian owned and one admin lives in Canada I believe, Potroast is in Diego in California and Christ knows where the server is. Commenting is ok on US politics as far as Trump and covid is concerned, as long as one is honest and you are who you say you are and can take the heat.
I tend to steer clear of domestic issues that don't concern Canada or human rights violations like the southern border and the covid response. I said little about the democratic presidential pic and less about the VP pick American business. I approach this as a friend and ally, I'm a liberal in more ways than one and support liberal causes, in America too. I'll steer clear of the American debate on healthcare too except to say that most everybody here is happy with single payer.
I do want to see Joe do spectacularly well in dealing with covid, the tools will fall into his hands this winter and spring through the hard work of science and that is international especially covid science, we are all in it together, now more than ever. In a year from now the covid nightmare will be largely over, with vaccinations in the spring and summer driving it down and antibody therapies treating the vulnerable and conferring a few months immunity too.

It would be such a huge stain on the US political system to have a former president prosecuted in court and actually be sentenced to prison.. I doubt it will happen, i'd like to see it happen but do doubt it will.. He knows to much about people in power and I guarantee they know that he would throw them under the bus long before he will sit inside of a jail cell.. I've been watching the Masters on tv this weekend as a distraction and cause I enjoy how difficult and challenging the game is (kind of like growing). Anyways I can't wrap my mind around how someone as crooked and fucked up as stump is ever could enjoy a game that requires you to quiet the mind to play well..I'm looking forward to Trump's trials too.

Donald was first in many things and he will be first in this too. In America and my country too, judges decide to hear cases and juries decide them, let them argue with them. Donald did crimes that Michael Cohen is serving time for now, there are other witnesses and it is largely a documents based case and is considered a slam dunk by all experts. The recommended sentence for Donald as ring leader is 3 X Cohen's, or 10 years. This could be a sealed indictment in the federal SDNY and Bill Barr better hope it is, or he goes to prison too. In theory, they could slap cuffs on Donald at 12:01 PM Jan 2021 and purp walk him. Mitch and the elected republicans want Donald quickly removed from the scene, he will be a pain in the ass to Joe and a public menace if allowed to run lose. He has hundreds of potential pending criminal charges, but the Stormy Daniels case will tie him down real quick and the judge will muzzle him too. After he is gone he will probably lose his twitter and facebook accounts for TOS violations too. Also Donald is covid immune too, so doing time on the inside is not an issue.
