Sounds fantastic. Are you still @ 4 plants under a 1000W?

For those yields, and veg height, you must be finishing between 3-5 feet? Or do you always, always LST?
 
i'm having the hardest time getting the last bit of ingredients together for the super soil mix. i have visited 3 different places now and can't take the frustration anymore lol. humic acid, epson salt, azomite, and rock phosphate is all i have left to get. does anyone know of a website that i can just get this stuff from? seems that places only carry 1 or 2 of the ingredients and then sends me somewhere else. man it's just getting under my skin so much...hell i had to special order the damn RO soil at 20 dollars a bag. totally got bent over and Fu***d on the price. any help is appreciated , and can't wait to start mixing.
 
hey sub how do you top dress? do you remove soil from the top and replace, transplant or what? Thank you for all of the valuable info. I'm in the process of reading all of your threads and plan on buying your book. Thanks again!

I have moved away from the NPK regime. Only using base soil and SS. This is so sweet - I cant thank you enough for doing all of this Subcool.

Just a tip for northern European growers. Azimot can be replaced by Algomin. Its produced by a swedish company.

I know this is an older post but I wanted to comment and vouch for this soil mix for outdoor use.I use subcools soil mix outdoors and it works excellent. I dig a hole thats equal to a 5-7 gal bucket and act as if it was a bucket and follow his directions, sometimes I use a buckets also and paint them camo colors.

As far as the ants go, I always leave a few inches space at the top and add a thin layer of sand and finish off with the native soil I dug out. I broadcast the remaining soil with my shovel.

I can attest that this soil mixture works best in any situation that Ive tried. Another big plus is I dont have to go back and feed..EVER,
 
i have had ants in soil and hempy grows before i did nothing to kill them i noticed no negatives with there presence and figure they kill some undesirables here and there. there mostly carnivorous depending on species i dont think they eat plant roots or foliage.
 
Hey Sub what kind of yields do you normally get off of JTR when you veg. for 60 days using this soil mix?
Oh yeah I love the stuff your doing and I have bought lots of your beans can't wait to try out the JTR and Deep Purple but i have another question not pertaining to the soil.
Do you or any of the seed banks that sell your beans sell them in bulk pack of like 50 or 100?
 
Do you veg at all after the transplant into the 7gal with SuperSoil or do you go straight to bloom light cycle?


Any experience growing Purple or OG Kush in super soil? If so, what percentage of super soil would you suggest using?

Does the use of co2 mandate a more liberal amount of super soil in the container?

Been using my own "super" soil recipe that this close to this for some time now. Your's seems like it has a lot less stuff in it than mine, so I may try yours out. Does it matter with either RO water or could you just use city tap (high TDS)? Because I usually add more dolomite lime to mine since I have been using RO water, with granular slow release dolomite as well, so they can get slow release CalMag too.
 
i just transplanted some plants into their final 7 gal pots. i was unsure how much supersoil to use as i haven't been able to find a real clear answer.

i'm running a variety of strains. some of my light feeders are in 15% supersoil while some of the heavier feeders are in 35% supersoil. after doing some more research on it, i think i may have gone a little too light on the supersoil.

can i just topdress some supersoil down the road and be fine? i was thinking of doing a light topdress in the first week of flower and a heaver one around day 30.

how will i be able to tell when the plants are hungry again?
 
I would top dress around day 30 and you should have no problems

as long as the plants stay happy and green if you see the plant starting to fade a slight yellow you have to anticipate this and feed em lightly but it super soil with 30% in bottom its rare a plant needs anything if it runs out add more super soil for next run. I know what each of my strains wants by now as far as amounts cheese wants almost zero super soil and space queen wants almost 60%

I still run 4 under a 1k and its more like 4-5 these days

Deep Purple was distributed and pretty much sold out but were making more now.

I'm waiting on 2 of your strains from attitude seeds, Jack the Ripper and Jilly Bean. I plan on using your supersoil formula in 10 gal pots in my greenhouse next season. I'll spend this winter indoors choosing my mothers(hopefully at least 2 pheno's of both strains), I'll take clones in Feb and eventually transplant them into the 10 gal pots for about a 4 month veg period before they flower next July. I've spent hours reading your posts on different sites and must admit you have become an idol to me, was just hoping you could recommend the ratio's at which to use the supersoil for JTR and Jilly Bean(i.e 50% etc)... maybe even some characteristics to look for when choosing which Jilly pheno's to grow.. I already read up on JTR. Many thanks and much respect bongsmilie -Greenhouser
