Tent advice...

Good for you for starting the project.

To answer your question, it was mostly house spiders that started living in one of the nugs because the room wasn't completely air tight. I never saw webs or anything, but later when I chopped down the plant and began to trim I started to see a bit of mold underneath and lost a lot of good bud :/ Some was still good, but a waste none the less. Now I only do tent grows.

Also if you live in a cold place during the winter get insulation for the room, especially under your plant pots.

Thanks for that. I'll be sure to make this room completely air tight. I'll also make sure I have some kind of barrier for my intake to keep bugs out. Does hydro or soil-less medium have bug issues?

It does get cold, but my heater keeps it at least 65 in the basement when I'm being really light with the thermostat. Hopefully the bulb will keep it warm in there too.

Good decision with the 600w, itd the most efficient choice. Make sure your electric is off the ground, a buddy of mine built his up a litle im his basement to protect from flooding. Will you be using mylar or flat white paint to cover the inside? GoodLuck with everything, you got this!

Thanks for the reply.

Just make sure to get a board of insulation for the bottom of that floor. I had a problem where my roots were not growing very fast and it was because the pots were cold from laying on the cement. I put some insulation under it and the plants grew twice as fast. :)

Actually, there's already an outlet box right above my frame there about 4' off the ground. :)

My plan is to frame it out in 2x2 and wrap the outside of each wall in Panda.

Thanks! I feel like I have this!

I will certainly be buying some insulation board to put down there, but I'm also going to frame this out a little more. I will be adding some 2x4 floor joists and then covering it with OSB board. The grow room floor will be completely isolated from the concrete floor. :)

You can still have bug problems in hydro..but not near as with soil. You tend to get a lot mor bug activity in soil over hydro. But having a tent is a really good way to avoid or limit bug activity
