Lucas formula to 450-500 pp

pH is at 5.6-5.9
Vinegar to bring the pH down
There was white sludge with a snot consistency on the air stones and the tubing and I rinsed the roots down this afternoon and they were giving off a white color.

I have since added Aza-max to the fresh water (no nutes) and hoping for the best.
 
damn dude that looks rough. what line of nutes are you feeding it? there has to be some kind of serious imbalance there. I would be scared to do anything but put it in a bucket with plain water maybe a drop of superthrive and keep swapping the water every 24hrs with fresh until that white shit stops. then just start back with a basic npk feeding with no extras added. but Ive never done hydro thats just what I would do out of instinct.
 
if thats a lowes bucket dont use it i had a problem similar to that but mine was way worse
i cleaned it time and time again untill i bought a black bucket from the hydro store and finally no more
white foam
 
what like the nutes are eating at the plastic or color? and putting it in the water? ive used Homedepot buckets and never had problems
 
interesting thought not all buckets are made of the same compounds or processes might be a reaction between solution and container try doing a bucket with same solution but no plant see if you get the same whit shit going on.
 
trust me it's the bucket do a side byside with a black hydrostore bucket and i bet u see
the diff. i went that way also with the lucas formula thats how i found this site looking for help one thing
i did was took it out set it ni h2o2 ph'ed water no nutes for about 5hrs and see if she stands up(my mother did)
