That's the prob w/conservatism; it's complicated.

Thought you'd like it. Don't really feel like I have to explain positions I don't support, but I do support vouchers like HUD's.
:: shrugs ::

Isn't stating that you don't support it explaining your position on it.

Though I disagree with vouchers, and subsidized housing in general.

Maybe that's more a problem with the lawyers though.

We Don’t Need Subsidized Housing by Howard Husock, City Journal Winter 1997

That offers a more in depth discussion about subsidized housing.

Husock's writing barely touched on vouchers, and when he did, he immediately diverted the discussion into imposed housing standards. I'd like to see statistical data like the studies HUD issues yearly rather than an ideological viewpoint.

Got links? I'm curious, how does a government organ justify its own existence.

If you're interested in a non-ideological critique of housing subsidization I'd recommend taking a gander at the Oxford Economic Papers.

I suppose the market dictates that I have the information and you don't. Honestly, if I weren't a student I wouldn't have access either. You can get the studies directly from HUD, and it's much cheaper.
The problem that I have then is the source. Too much Bias. I mean, you aren't going to hear some one advocating that they are useless. :-)

Then take a look at the Oxford Economic Papers or UK Housing Review. I suppose the Manhattan Institute isn't biased.
Lol, sorry, I can't help but smack my head at the total inability to understand why this needs to be written.

Very low-income renters and households with worst case needs are more likely than most Americans to live in poorer neighborhoods
I can only respond, well, duh. Maybe the people in Congress that they were living in penthouses. I don't know...

but there's a ton of material ... which is really really going to be a pain in the ass to scan/read/ and search through.

I think that you'll find it's not as biased as you think. Are you an anarcho-capitalist?

I guess I'd say I'm more of a transformative democratic socialist, which is misleading in a way due to the fact I'm not a socialist. My views are similar with Paine, Mill, and Attlee (sort of). I'm also a fan of Thaler and Sunstein and their development of libertarian paternalism.
You still 22?

Damn! Self proclaimed (self inferred) "intelligent" people always sound unintelligible to me. It's not you; it must be me......:eyesmoke:
I've not proclaimed or inferred that I'm intelligent, yet. My SAT, GMAT, and LSAT scores do that for me. Okay, now I have. When have you not been able to understand what I'm saying?

There is a difference between wisdom and intelligence, you will figure that out after you graduate from your mind melding institute.
