I just bought 3 240w kits with the cree 660 built in for my 4x4 set up. First run with them so I can’t say much but it all depends on what you want out of your light. You could grab four QB11 660 strips from KB and a HLG-80h-c700b driver to run them. Wire them in series annnnd you’re done.
As mikey said, last time i checked its cheaper per watt and for spread to get the red separate from the boards. Qb11 for the win, and you could some uv or similar as well.

How much head space do you have for the tent? A 5 foot tall tent is pretty tight when you incorporate a carbon filter (if you’re using one that is!). I’d try to find a tent with a minimum height of 6 feet. If you have loads of head room, Fusion grow tents makes a 4x2 that come 6’11” and can be extended to 7’11” if needed, the prices are half of gorilla tents. I can’t speak highly enough of mine.
If they're put together lengthwise, End to end, 2X4.
The softer you drive your leds the closer you can keep them to the plants, and the less losses you have to light hitting the walls. 6 inches apart at 150 might be too much light though if you have them that tight.
Those Cree's are nice.They actually push the efficacy higher on the fixture. I bought Epi's they don't I think the added red is still the way to go. The Cree's will outlast them too. I almost pulled the trigger on some Geek lights w/Cree's.
Yes it is an open space. I’m open to pretty much anything and yes DIY can be an option. Just figured a bunch of these 240w boards would cover a good amount of space and not be crazy expensive. I don’t necessarily have to have a 4ft wide canopy.

More airflow is always better IMO. I haven’t used the AC line of exhaust fans so I can’t speak too much on them. I run a 6 inch hyper fan and love the shit out of it.
