The King Grows

I have the autopot. Not the growtech.

Have Jack's to try in the autopot. Jack's users claim it to be cleaner as it doesn't have the organic inputs that megacrop has.

Have also been looking at the blumat system.
I switched from Blumats to a Growtek system, and I wish I would have just bought the Growtek originally. A lot of people like them, but I personally had too many issues to continue using them.

Just want to be clear, I was referring to the autopot system with the reports of clogged lines and flooding.

I have not seen anything about the grow tech system.
Hahaha, I thought you were talking about Growtek. Yeah the autopot system is junk in my opinion. My kit was the xl system but had the small older lines, was missing many parts and one of the float valve assemblies wouldn't stop over filling. It just seemed poorly made and it lasted about three hours in my room. I have no time for inferior gear in my room.

Hey what’s your temp in that room? How hard is it to keep the temps up I’m also in Alberta and would like to do that to my garage but my garage isn’t insulated yet lol and do you use a oil heater ? How do you keep your humidity up with this dry cold weather

I keep my temps at 90⁰f to 87⁰f. My garage is insulated and heated with a natural gas forced air furnace. The grow room has no heater. Lights off I maintain 75⁰f to 72⁰f. The AC runs both during lights on and off. The lights keep it warm during lights on and residual heat and my dehumidifier keep it warm during lights off.

During lights on my dehumidifier runs once in awhile with humidity around 70%. Lights off it runs a lot more with humidity at 45%. The dry Alberta air doesn't effect it because of it being a truly sealed room and the plants transpire a lot.

My humidifier does kick in if I go an extra day between waterings and when lights first turn on until it gets to 70% but then the plants take over as they start to transpire.

Thanks I got some figuring to do! Do you exhaust back into your garage or does your exhaust run outside ? Are do you not exhaust ?
Sealed room with no exhaust. My AC is dual hose, it sucks in air from my garage and is set up to exhaust it's hot air back into the garage in cold months or exhaust outside in hot months. It works quite well. No point pumping that nice warm air outside when it's cold.

Well I am almost one grow in and I feel that SpiderFarmers claim of the SF 4000 being able to flower a 4ft x 4ft area is false. I have 3 of them over a 4ft xt 8ft canopy and with my legit par meter, not a phone app but a real meter, I am not seeing great even coverage. With 3 lights I should, according to SpiderFarmer be able to cover a 4ft x 12ft grow area. These lights might do it at the minimum par levels required for cannabis but definitely not at a high level that I feel my grow falls under. I like to call it "performance growing".

Not trying to bash SpiderFarmer but I just feel these lights are not pulling their weight in my grow room....For Sale 3 slightly used SpiderFarmer SF 4000 grow lights. :D

So as I have said many times in the past. I work away from home. My non-weed smoking wife helps me take care of things while I am gone. She tries but I know she hates it but does it because she loves me and knows how important this is to me.

I just got home lastnight and I know she defoliated and tried to lollypop the girls but I realized this morning when the lights came back on that I had a shit ton of work to do in there before I go for surgery on the 14th.

Just spent 3hrs lollypopping and defoliating, I know I said earlier I was pretty much done but damn she's a jungle in there and I am finding a bit of water on some leaves because it's so tight that air flow sucks even with the 5 fans in that 8x8 room going 24/7.

I figure I have about another 3 to 4hrs of work in there then I can put up a second trellis net for support.

The fun never ends. :D

So the new combo meter is fucking amazing. Love it.

But my old meter hadn't been calibrated since I bought it. It said my nutrient was 1200ppm, the new meter that I checked calibration on was reading 1800ppm and 2.4EC. Apparently I have been power feeding these girls and didn't even realize it. Good thing I am running CO² and high light levels because they have been using all the food and loving it. Guess I got lucky on that one.

Day 18 Flower.

I finally finished defoliating and lolly popping the girls. What a pain in the ass getting my 245lb 6'3" ass under the netting to lollypop the back row. Tempted to knock out a wall on one end and extend the room 2ft and put the table on wheels so I never have to climb under there again. I definitely like having the netting though as it creates a nice canopy.

I also added a second net to help support the massive buds I am hoping to grow. :bigjoint:

Anyhow, it's done and I am glad it's done properly because it looks so nice now. It shows off the 1¼"-1½" thick stalks so nicely.
