Does anyone remember the rubics cube thingy
It was a flat shape with around 8 or 12 plastic squares joined together with string
There was a picture of like olympic rings on it , i think it was black with the colored rings
You had to fold and swap the squares to make the picture
for the record I do not remember this

South African, We kinda made our own toys back then (Sanctions and propaganda/government tended to prevent many things from entering the country).

We made them out of old 5l oil cans as well.

OMG your wagon bent the tie rod on an old '48 Buick!! But things were made to last, over engineered is the term as I recall. How funny, how long was it before you could comfortably sit again?
I recall getting spanked; the ol' drop pants and bend over and the sound of his belt whipping thru the loops on his pants before WHAP!; but I remember vividly the month in the jail of my room. Wasn't allowed out except for school and bathroom. God that was a long month. Getting spanked wasn't that unusual...the imprisonment had the best influence

Anyone remember these? Team America Super Stunt Dirt Bike
One badass toy that could take a beating! I launched mine off
my parents house landing on the cement driveway when I was
a kid and it kept going.

I still have my "Zeroid" toy robot in mint condition. I used to have "Big Loo". Some of you children of the 60's might remember them.

*Opens chemistry set, and immediately looks for potassium perchlorate and powdered aluminum...

I had at least 3 chemistry sets, then my middle school science teacher taught us how to make flash powder and the real fun began.

I would imagine they don't teach those sort of things to children anymore in our public school systems.

I had that knife (to whittle countless sticks), and matches (to ignite random fires).

I was a evil little fucker lol.

My go to chemical was the sulfur. Rotten egg potion, then dump it on the asshole neighbor's porch.
