Coleco football was the bomb when it first came out.^^
I thought we were the only ones who did this.. man we were brutal back then to each other.. those hurt like heck.. left nice welts too

B166ER420'.....you must be a REAL old fart like me. We did the same thing, until my cousin really did get his eye put out. The grown ups replaced our BB guns with rubber suction cup arrows w/a bow. That went well until we threw the rubber tips away and sharpened the arrows in a pencil sharpener. I got shot in the nose when I was trying to sneak up on the guys, crawling and they saw me. I got shot in the top of my nose and the arrow came out one of my nose holes. Talk about some pissed parents !!! Peace & be kind
My Dad freakin hated these as we had an installed sprinkler system in the yard - I was digging that PVC piping up weekly so he could fix it.
And my forearm hated these.

I remember Lawn Jarts and the kid whose head we took the Lawn Jart out of. I did not do pediatric neuro. But that day I did. What were those parents thinking?

When I was a kid, they had one on the top shelf of the local five and dime, I'd go there everyday staring at it swearing I'd have one soon, saved my pennies and nickles (when I got one) for months, the time had finally come and I ran to the 5+10 eager to have it in my hands, I gave the lady my $1.25 and said " I'll take the Fanner 50", and slapped my money down, she counted it and said "Oh no, you don't have enough, it's not $1.25, it's $12.50, I bummed, life had given me the fatal blow, I went home my world colapsed, I was never the same.

had a kettie (sling shot) around my neck at all times from around age 6 to 10
Always had my Okapi in my pocket.
I cut the back of the handle off when I got a bit older so I could open the knife on my jeans.
