This little pee princess has a definite Danky Schmoke - totally a creeper kind of high. Took me by surprise actually.

Ok, yes thanks, something to consider for sure. I usually run a peat based mix, which I believe tends to wander more acidic, so maybe biochar would be good addition to counter that....?
Good info in that pdf. Thanks. Well I ordered some biochar a while ago, but I've never "charged" it and used it yet. Seems to have a few benefits. Supposedly, it can absorb heavy metals from soils, thus reducing their toxicity. Just saw an article posted the other day about elevated levels of heavy metals in pot smokers;
Perhaps would work, but i can guarantee that mixing in dolomite lime will raise the ph. And the best thing is that it has a neutral ph of rt around 7 so its easier to use safely. I add a cup to 5 gallons of my FFOF based mix. But, on this thread, i fully aupport trying urine for your experiment. BB started this thread with an eye towards demonstrating the sustainability and wonders of pee. Its worked pretty damned well for me. Without experimentation, no progress is made. Keep us up peedated
Yes, will have to read more in this thread, and maybe more on the www with regards to charging biochar with pee. I've read that compost, ewc, and different teas can be used for this purpose. I really can't see why not. I'll call it PEE-O-CHAR and market it to the masses! You have to admit, it's a golden idea.
It's sounding more like win, win, win with a well charged, and populated biochar. I knew there must have been some reason I bought a bag of the stuff. Just couldn't remember why, lol. It will be a little higher priority on my next soil mix grow.
