ya 12"14" is always good. depending on ur strain u might not get allot of stretch? i never had any bad stretch with the 180w.

just be easy on the nutes and flush once in a while and you will be good and not have too much salt build up and get lock out. girls are looking good.

Well, the plants are still doing very good, I think. Everything is nice and green- some of the very, very tips of some leaves on 1 or 2 show a burn and/or white- which I guess is from the FF nutes- but it doesn't appear to be major.

The problem now is that the plants are getting too wide for the closet!
I have decided that even though they are not 1 foot yet- I am going to switch to 12/12 tomorrow!!
Most are not between 8"-9.5" tall- like I said though, the bushiness is what is limiting me the most. The leaves are starting to overlap into other pots and are even starting to push out of the closet door!!

Here are some pics:

Bushy Bushy- the 2 plants on the far left (both bagseeds) are the start of the space issue- these are the bushiest.


Here is a picture of a fan leaf with a bic at the bottom base of the leaf- these big ass fan leaves are starting to push out of the closet door.


The Pure #1 under LEDs- she is very tall and lanky compared to the bushy bagseeds and another of the Pures, which is also bushy like the bagseeds.


I have re-arranged the closet. I moved the Pure #1 to a spot where one of the Bagseeds was and swapped places with it. Anyways, I tried to control the overlapping leaves and stuff by moving some of them around.
The plan is that once I flip to 12/12 and they show sex I can toss the males and then there will be plenty of room for the girls to spread their wings! :weed:

This is just an update to notate that I did indeed switch to a 12/12 light schedule. The lights went out at 9pm this evening and will come one again at 9am.

Yay- I am excited!! :weed::clap::weed::clap::weed:

Harvested one of my girls today:lol: Happy happy joy joy!

Trying to get it setup where i plant every month, a week or two before the full moon and then harvest monthly on the waning moon.

12/12 time for some action.

id say thats a good sign.... my males were all early bloomers, first sign is always at the top node... get what looks like a bud forming, but after 24 hours or so the nuts start showing.

MrSoloDolo i wanted to share this with you. i am not saying to go and do this, its up to you? but it made a huge difference for me so i thought i would share this with you


so i took out my 600w led panel and took a razor blade and cut the glue out that was holding the glass in place then took a spark plug threw it against the glass lens and broke it, took all the peaces out and put it back in the grow room. Holy $hit it mad a big difference on how bright and intense light it now, plus i got a better foot print. i will never leave the glass on my led anymore. i wish i would have done the a long time ago. i am very very happy with this mod.

then i took a piece of the glass witch is kinda thick and took my led flashlight and shined it on back peaces of material then put the glass in front of it and i could clearly see a different on how it blocks some light. if u think leds are bright with the glass then u have no clue how bright they are without the glass.

lol why out of all things did you use a spark plug to break the glass?
Sounds like a good idea to increase light, why do they put the glass there in the first place?

From back in the day when I was a trouble maker, sparkplugs are the easiest and quietest way to break thick auto glass. Not that I ever did that but I heard it's a way to break the glass to break into a car.


That does sound like a good idea Irish- I will look at my LED and see what's up.
I assume they have the glass to 'protect' the actual lights themselves- it would be very hard to ship an LED without anything to protect each little diode.
They should make new LEDs with a removable glass- that would be the perfect solution, pop it out if u want or keep it in if you want.

I don't think I mentioned that I switched out the 5600k CFLs with some 2700k CFLs; the light changed from a daylight/blue hue to a Soft/warm orangeish glow; of course the Blue & Red from the LED makes a lot of things look purple too. The closet is a rainbow of colors, LOL.

Anyhow- I have the 180 LED in the center and 4 2700k CFLs on the right and 4 on the left. Now that the plants are getting tall I need to move them to the other side of the closet. Right now the LED is hanging from a lower rack but the other side of the closet has a higher rack- this is what I will move the LED to, then the plants won't be so close to the LED too. I will probably shift everything over tomorrow.

Alright, here are some picture updates- mostly still looks like they are in Veg growth- they have only had 2 full 12 hour nights, today is their 3rd night. No signs of sex or pre-sex.

BAGSEED #1 ON 4/6/10- SO EFFIN BUSHY, Seriously tho- is it normal for them to be so bushy that the leaves are getting tangled into each other? 2/3 of the Pures are not bushy like this and do not have this 'problem'- all the Bagseeds are crazy bushy like this.


PURE #4 ON 4/6/10- NOT EFFIN BUSHY- See the difference in the Pures- it must be the Sativa vs Indica- the Pure is tall and lanky. The Bagseeds are short and bushy.


LEFT SIDE OF THE CLOSET ON 4/6/10- I labeled the 4 of them; 2 on the left 2 in the middle and there are 2 on the right not pictured.
Growin strong. The Pure #2 in the upper left is 1 foot tall and is far more bushy than the other Pures.


Now I just need patience until they show sex :wall:

Overall, I am happy.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I added 'Sugar Daddy' to their nute mix that they get every other day.:eyesmoke:

idk why they put the glass their. why not use a spark plug its the best way to break glass. the porclen shatters glass very easy

porcelin or however you spell it will break glass very easy and it is basically silent. I knew these guys who used to break into cars and they used broken peices of spark plugs.

Sorry didn't realize that alreday got posted. It does work I've seen it.
