-Republicans Break Promise on 3 days to read a bill with the debt ceiling

-Republicans Fail at accomplishing anything

-They are all more worried about going on vacation this summer

Could the Republicans Failure cause a Rise in the Tea Party?

Is this a giant leap forward for the liberty movement?

Will the Super Best Friends...err Super Committee ...be all that Super?

This could very well be the beginning of the end for the Republicans in Washington. We will see how it plays out.

There WILL be a third party. Perhaps not in 2012, but in future years. Both the Republican and the Democrat parties will be no more eventually.

put on CNN

Anderson Cooper's keeping them honest.

amazing.

the FAA has lost it's funding and since congressmen have 5 weeks off, it may be shut down for 5 weeks.

1 billion dollars + in airfare taxes lost.

over 4,000 workers sent to the unemployment line

pathetic.

another self-inflicted wound on our own economy.

it's incredible....

actually, the 4,000 workers i am referring to are over 4000 workers from PRIVATE corporations that are CONSTRUCTING/DEMOLISHING/IMPROVING airports nationwide.

and by the way, FAA inspectors, the ones that keep US airtravel the safest alternative to travel IN THE HISTORY OF RECORD KEEPING, they are working without pay.... b/c they won't risk OUR safety because of a few REPUBLICANS...

the FAA hires over 74,000 people. air traffic controllers working without pay, radar technicians, the GPS upgrade we're supposed to be undergoing, GONE,

thank you republicans.

i was wrong. over 74000 people are now out of work because congress didn't want to re-authorize the FAA.

74,000 people OUT OF WORK.

i thought republicans were all about JOBS. FUCK THE GOP. HYPOCRITES.

How much does the FAA cost? That is like saying its a good thing that our military costs what it does because it employs millions of people. This is a steaming pile of bullshit that no one really believes. If the government didn't piss away trillions of dollars a year doing unnecessary things, and regulating things they have no reason to regulate the country would be a lot better off.

Spending government money to create jobs only makes the situation worse. We have years of tough times ahead of us. Letting the government borrow more and more and using that borrowing to prop up our job markets will lead to a complete and total collapse when it comes instead of it just hurting for a while.

Compare it to you having a certain amount of money and living above your means then borrowing more and more to pay your bills instead of eliminating some of your luxuries and trying to find a job. Things like: Cable tv, maybe turn your AC up a few degrees, don't go to the beach or go out drinking, eating out. What happens to you and me when we spend more than we make with no plan or ability to pay it back? Sure you might get another credit card to cover yourself for a few more months or a year, but eventually you are going to be bankrupt if you don't fix the problem. The more debt you have, the harder it is to fix the problem. Why would anyone think a government was any different? If we had followed the Libertarian principles we were founded on we would not be in this mess, and the unemployment rate would not be what it is.

another idiot trying to compare government finances with personal finances.

LOL.

this idea that the government is like a person racking up multiple credit cards is FALSE. STOP COMPARING THE TWO. THE 'FEDERAL DEFICIT' DOESN'T BEHAVE LIKE AN AVERAGE LOAN. THAT IS WHY IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE MEASURED IN DOLLARS, BUT RATHER A PERCENTAGE.

GOD DAMMIT. IF I HAVE TO KEEP REPEATING IT I'M GOING TO GO FUCKING CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're right, the unemployment rate would be much higher. ;)

Seriously though, this is the kind of political stunt that is going to ensure Obama gets a second term... The Republicans are just alienating any and all independents with their draconian agenda... Dont believe me? A CNN poll last week had a "Tea Party approval rating" around 30%, down from nearly 60% before the 2010 elections. It will be a Democratic government in 2012 if you guys keep this up!

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday indicates that 32 percent of the public has a favorable view of the two year old anti-tax movement, which also calls for less government spending and a more limited role for the federal government in our lives. The 32 percent favorable rating is down five points from December.

Forty-seven percent of people questioned say they have an unfavorable view of the tea party, up four points from December and an increase of 21 points from January 2010. That 47 percent is virtually identical to the 48 percent unfavorable ratings for both the Democratic party and the Republican party in the same poll.

"This is the first time that a CNN poll has shown the tea party's unfavorable ratings as high as those of the two major parties," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "It looks like the rise in the movement's unfavorable rating has come mostly among people who make less than $50,000."

The tea party movement's unfavorable rating rose 15 points since October among lower-income Americans, compared to only five points among those making more than $50,000. Roughly half of all American households have incomes under $50,000, and half make more than that.

"It's possible the drop among lower income Americans is a reaction to the tea party's push for large cuts in government programs that help lower-income Americans, although there are certainly other factors at work," adds Holland.

The tea party was born in early 2009, as a protest movement against the Troubled Asset Relief Program, better known as TARP or the Wall Street bailout, which was implemented by President George W. Bush in the autumn of 2008, and against the federal stimulus plan, officially known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, that President Barack Obama passed through Congress in early 2009. The grassroots movement became a player in Republican party politics over the past two years and tea party activists were instrumental in helping the GOP win back control of the House and narrow the Democrats' majority in the Senate in last November's midterm elections.

According to the poll, 46 percent have a favorable view of the Democratic party, with 48 percent saying they see it in a negative light. Forty-four percent of those questioned say they have a favorable view of the Republican party, with 48 percent saying they hold an unfavorable view.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey was conducted March 11-13, with 1,023 people questioned by telephone. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points.

and by the way, we don't need to have tough times ahead of us.

do you know what 'tough times' really means?? it means the rich stay rich and the middle class becomes poor.

welcome to 'libertarian america'...

and please for god's sakes look at that KEEPING THEM HONEST piece.

August 3, 2011... google it.

Anderson Cooper earned his journalist badge tonight... it was BRILLIANT.

74,000 jobs gone. POOF!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU REPUBLICANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to see the Republicans pushed out... While the Tea Party might be pointing most their critique at Obama & other Democrats, the Republicans are the reason they came to be. The TP will not let this go unpunished in the 2012 primaries.

Yes, because airlines can still exist without airtraffic controllers and airport maintenance staff. You're right, they won't go hire replacements.

all the fuss with the FAA is because REPUBLICANS want to attach union representation rules into the law.

that's right. republicans don't want to address this now b/c they know the kind of shit they got into for messing with unions.

that's right folks, they want to ADDregulations restricting union rights in the air travel industry.

THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS, REPUBLICANS, THE ONES FOR LIMITED GOVERNMENT, WANT THE GOVERNMENT TO RESTRICT HOW WORKERS ORGANIZE. HYPOCRISY AT IT'S BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and for that, we're gonna add several thousand people to the unemployment line.

AND WE'RE GOING TO LOOSE 1 BILLION DOLLARS IN TAX REVENUE. THANK YOU REPUBLICANS.

CAVUTO: And you were also against the provisions in there that would make it easier... for FAA workers to unionize. And that was a point of contention and one of the reasons the Senate said, we just can't take up this measure that objects to that. So where do we stand?
CANTOR: Well, you know, that disagreement is really under the underlying bill. This was the extension that that really is not a part of this discussion. The issue about organization for labor has to do with being fair to both sides. And if you're going to be fair to both sides, you ought to give both the employees as well as the employers an equal opportunity to make the case.

straight from the lions' jaw.

let me make something clear: FAA workers CAN unionize. this whole thing about making it easier for FAA workers to unionize isn't really true. it's about LIMITING the amount of say over working conditions that unions have.

two of the unions being attacked by the republican establishment:

http://www.natca.org/

http://www.twu.org/

not only that, they want to 'bust' highway worker's unions AND railroad unions. this last one really busts my balls, i have a friend with terminal illness that can be linked to his job at the rail yard, specifically asbestos exposure, if it wasn't for his union, the case would not have reached class action status.

this really grinds my gears yo'.....
