GMOjo Jojo..auto...10wks

Well, I'm not real excited about these plants. I have issues with autos and I'm still working on getting things right.

This girl endured my usual twisting and bending I do with photos. I wanted to stress the hell outta these autos to see if they can take the abuse a photo can. She handled it well. Needs a little more time I think.

Her sister plant did nothing exciting. I bent it over in veg and it just stalled and produced a mass bud. This thing has foxtails buds all over. No mass to it at all and a good candidate for the butter bin.

Autos can be very temperamental. I am still trying to figure them out. Some people I have seen can manipulate and lst them with success. I have not had much success other than to locate bud sites early and defoilate the fans at the bud sites. Then as it grows just leaf tucking from there. I am going to run Speedrun genetics next. The breeder Ken Koch claims his genetics grow large auto plants. I'm going to venture away from FFOF and run the Promix with Jack's like you and I had talked about earlier. Now, with that said, most people I have talked with have stated DWC is the difference between big autos and regular sized autos. If you get some free time look into some of his videos.

Thanks for the input. Man, autos are different animals for sure. First time I grew them was last December. I fried them like a chicken leg. Locked them out pretty bad. I was using some liquid formula and other stuff. Chased the pH thing n all that happy crap. Acting like a total newbie yet feeling as though I was really gonna kill it... I didn't kill it... I might as well have..lol I had to find a simpler method. Jacks made it simple. No ph ppm metering and tap water. Jacks, calnit, Epsom is a winning combination much like MasterBlend nutrients. Base, 15/0/0, Epsom. Some plants need more or less so ya tweak as ya go but never add to or take away ingredients. Just lower the amount used.

Very next photo grow I had an auto pop up out of the group. Supposed to be purple haze fem but not sure what happened. I had switched over to promix and the Jack's. It did great. So I did the same thing with these today.

My 5 gal plants did way better and stayed more healthy than the two in 3gal bags. So from now on it's 5gal for autos.

Yeah, those Fastbuds plants can get rather large if things are done right. Friend of mine from another forum runs them a lot. He gets some big plants.
I ran their mystery seed. 4 of the 5 sprouted. They were the crispy critters. History lesson..lol

I totally agree that 5 gal. is the way to go with the autos. I am going to change things a little on the next run. Cut back from 7 plants in a 5 x 5, to only 4. Run a little higher temperature in veg. (78-80). Flower, cut that temperature back a little (73-75). Looking forward to see what the promix can do as well. Worst case scenario, the plants take a dump and start over with a different plan. That's one of the things I like about growing. It's like a blackboard. Erase and start over.

Fail...nah. you'll be just fine. Finding something that works and exploiting the hell out of it is the way to go..lol.

I was really seeking a simple cheap method my kids could latch onto but I liked it so well I just stick with it. I don't worry much about things. Everything stays the same. Gives me more time with the plants. They prob hate seeing me coming..lol. They know I'm gonna remove some leaf somewhere or bend a branch.

4 plants in a 5x5. That could be a big big grow. Them temps sound fine. Mine top out at 86 and lights out can get in the 60s. Even with winter I'm flowering 82/60s. I've had to ease up a little on the watering in these lower temps.

That, if it all turns would be a sweet looking plant. I ran a Fourm Stomper from Mephisto that turned a plum color, but nothing like that.
That's a nice plant. This dark leaf is crazy looking and all fox tails. I'll get very little from it. Your plant developed normal. Genetics killed the bud on this one. I'm gonna smoke a little when it's done but most will go to edibles.

Cap Junky....66 days 12/12

Getting color all over the place now. These buds are still kicking out growth. I've got milky trichomes but no amber yet. So, maybe another week.

Cap Junky plants #2&3. Both same age but a big difference in size, shape, and color. I had to support the screen on the smaller #2 plant. It's leaning when it's free stands and I m afraid it'll snap off the main trunk.

It has been a pleasure working my way through your thread. You are growing some serious buds, frosty as hell. Beautiful autumn look to them now. Cant wait to see how they look when you chop em in a week!

Wow, that frost never gets old. Really nice!
It certainly does never get old. I think we all love seeing a plant loaded with frost. Some like my Blue Moon Rocks barely have any trichome development but still looks dangerous..lol. Funny how some strains pack it on and others do not.

Thank mate

Thank you, it's been a pleasure posting here on riu.

It's been a pleasure sharing my garden here on riu. I'm slowly meeting some new growers and picking up little ideas here n there. All I grow comes from breeders on OG. They sent me a veterans giveaway last year w over a 100seeds of various strains. So far all they have sent me is fire that grows like a weed..lol I'm having a blast.

I'm loving that 5x5 you play around in. You grow a lot in that space. I thought I'd want a 5x5 but I've found I am in love with my 4x8. It works well with my floater screens and can fit 8 plants. I'm averaging 8oz + a floater so I pull a lot of weed from that box..lol.

Thanks for dropping in. More coming soon.

These reg seeds are starting to pop out some branches now. Trainwreck and ForgetMeNots. Id love to get a girl from each. If not I've got clones to fill spaces.

Strawberry Banana is such a leafy girl. I'm hoping she's ready for flower soon.
IMG_20241206_124617311.jpg

These GreenCrack MangoHp clones may get into flower before the SB. I've just up potted them to 7gal so they will take off soon. I need about 4 more inches of growth.

It's my first run with these so I don't know what to expect. I had it in reveg and it got pretty sick so I killed it and took clones. They are ready to go now. Just a little more growth.

The veg tent is ever changing these days. The 5 larger plants are all close to the flip. Just need a few inches on some. Getting greener in here by the day now.
IMG_20241210_103554818.jpg
Clones, regs, fems, got it all going on in here for now. That'll change soon.

Ya may remember I had 4 autos.

I threw them in the flower tent. They will die tonight or tomorrow. Along with the CJ and Blue Moon Rocks.

These girls be ripe....
