Thinking of R.O. water? You may want to think again.

No link, it was a few years ago, you're going to have to trust me, which I know is hard for the google generation.
I do not know you...the things you say are not bolstering trust, nor are they aligned with my 40 years of experience...I was born in the Show-Me-State...so...no I will not have to trust anyone who says unbelievable things:roll:

Long story short, if you're growing in a very high output system (aero, DWC, NFT, etc.) without a medium than an RO filter is almost assuredly a good buy.

If you're growing in a slower, more forgiving medium like soil (or its cousin hempy buckets), than you can get away with not using RO because of the buffering capabilities of the media.

The above two statements are rules of thumb and not set in stone - if your tap water is 50PPMs than you can do whatever you want, and if your tap water is 900PPMs I wouldn't even water my lawn with that.

I'd recommend anyone who plans on growing in hydro to buy a pH pen and/or TDS meter and test their water to determine if they need an RO filter.

All the useless trolling of this thread is kinda silly, especially by the guy who started the thread (IMHO).

I can find a dozen growers who grow with tap above 500 ppm who can grow bigger plants than you.
Um, there is more than one way to skin a cat, and all result in the cat being skinned.
Is this really worth the time and effort of a pissing match? Smoke a bowl and relax into the "fuck it all zone". :)

I grew in aero for 5 years. Long story short, if you have good tap water R.O. is a waste of money.

Of course there is. But I have no problem pointing out that most people who use R.O. don't get better yields than people who use tap, they just claim to but I have never once seen them put up, just brag about shit.

See sentence #3 in the post you took my quote from.

Not hard to see why you get banned so often, bro.
Who gives a fuck why I get banned? Usually because of fools like you. My tap is around 200 and I've been growing constant for 9 years. This thing called experience, most claim to have it, some actually do.

Then you can leave the thread you know, actually I would prefer it but I doubt you will because R.O. users need to believe that they didn't get suckered into buying something they didn'T need. Somebody in your town is growing great weed with tap water,.
