Time to transplant? pics and questions

Hi guys, are my plants looking ready to transplant or should I wait until they grow another set of leaves? I'm thinking of using 2 liter pots with 20% perlite 80% organic soil (with time release ferts). I'm planning to keep them in those pots all through and not start adding nutes until they're at least a week into flowering because of the nutes already in my soil. Can anybody see any problems I'll run into doing that? Thank you.

I would go ahead and transplant. They look strong and the bigger pot will let them grow faster. And I use 2 gallon pots and that makes a good size plant. If you want like a 3-4 foot plant I would go with at least a 2-3 gallon pot. a 2 litre pot will get root bound :(

oh yea :) you need more lights. there are good threads on here about lights, but get at least 4 more cfls for veg, and you need some 2 400w hps for flower :) or something, i'm no pro, just on first grow :)

Thanks, more lights are on their way but I'm sticking with CFLs for the whole grow due to power usage and heat concerns. I've decided to go with 2 gallon pots and hope I can LST the height out of them, as getting root bound would be difficult to deal with for a novice like me. I'm only veging for a few weeks (following that Buds For Less book a member on here published).

Here's the thing: I'm going to try and vege the plants under 150 watt of 6500k CFL and 60 watt of 2700k, then add heaps more lights for flowering stage. There are 9 plants here but many will be pulled once they show their sex. Will that amount of light vege 9 plants enough to get them ready to flower? I don't really want to buy heaps more 6500k lights because they get pretty pricey in my country in bulk. Any experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also, I'm a bit worried about the time release fertilizer in my soil... Will waiting until a bit into flowering before I start adding nutes keep the plants happy? Sorry if that's too much of a vague question, my potting mix is organic and says it contains NuFert which is a time release organic fertilizer. I could dilute it with seed raising soil as well as the perlite if anybody thinks that would be better?

How am I looking? That was some hard shit but I've got a good method to move the lights up and down easier now. Ran out of pots so 2 of the plants are in significantly smaller containers, but I'll test it out. Cheers for any feedback.

nice little settup you have going on. dont worry about nutes for a while. they will show you when they need to be fed. feed before that and youll invite problems to your garden. i think space is going to be your biggest concern. plan your garden, its kind of hard to tell from the pics but that seems like a small space for even half that amount of teen/adult plants. looking good so far. keep it simple. goodluck
