Topping is extremely strain dependent. It's always good to contact your seed bank and spend time doing
strain specific research from other experienced growers who have had that strain for multiple seasons and can tell you through various experimenting & journals/logging what it prefers and what difference you should expect in yield. I know for my white widow it says that you simply will not achieve the yield you are looking for without multiple toppings. I have a kush where I've read some people doing one topping at the 5th node & leaving it alone to be best, but am trying everything from single cola, to 5th node topping and multiple toppings. Then I have a hybrid going that simply has no genetic history and I kinda have to do my own experimenting and then take that into account for the clones I took off her and wanna use next cycle.
