nightmare...i know you have some alien genes and alien og has been testing real high is their a reason its not on your list? or is it like A vs A+ cuts

Alien OG can test out top shelf if you let it go the full 9 weeks, but lacks in flavor IMO. Monster yields make it worth growing though. Love to grow it, but if I had to buy a bag of OG bud, it wouldn't be my first choice. I'll go with Tahoe as my all time fav in that department.

Ive heard alot that the alien lacks in flavor...but shouldnt the tahoe shine through atleast a bit?

It does, a little. I mean it doesn't taste bad or anything, just doesn't have the overwhelming funk of some other OG's.
Alien OG is first and foremost a massive yielder. It's OG Kush's answer to critical mass. It's a fucking beast. And it can test out good when grown correctly. But in terms of smoking the buds I couldn't put it in the top tier of OG's. It's good, not great. It still does taste like OG. It just doesn't fill up a room with OG stank.

like what kind of yields are we talking about here?! Ive never been super keen on taste or smell tho i do appreciate it...but effect and yield are generally what spike my interest. Have you grown out alien og? What type of things should i look for? I just popped an alien napalm oh which is a alien tahoe og triple bx...maybe a double bx im not sure lol. but if an average og with a decent veg yields 2-3 zips what can i expect from the alien?!

I got just under a g/w with alien OG, but I think it could be grown out better than that. It stacks big dense buds from top to bottom, the whole plant. The only strain I have that out yields it is blue dream. But I'm a pretty experienced blue dream grower and a pretty inexperienced alien OG grower. I think my yields could be improved on in optimal conditions by someone more experienced with the strain.
It's unlike any OG I've ever grown. The next closest OG in terms of yield that I've run is platinum OG, and it wasn't even close. Alien significantly out yields platinum. I do like the buds from platinum OG better though.

I culled my Alien OG. It's one of those weird strains that test high THC but have a mild effect. I have smoke herojuana tested at 25% THC many times and it just doesn't get me that high. Alien OG is like that for me.

I believe I am the same way. High THC tests doesn't impress me at all. If I just wanted to smoke high THC percentages I would go with hash/oil. I don't care for hash/oil at all, so I am pretty sure it isnt just THC in the plant that draws me to it.

Im sure it has way way more to do the with ratio of cannabinoids then the actual thc percent....what influences the high the most besides thc/thca tho?

well you don't do yourself any favors.when someone spends hard earned money on your gear,gets herms and you jump to they did something to cause it (ie. perfect growing conditions...please) and the other plants in their room do fine.i don't dislike you swerve just your business practices

I don't know. I kinda feel like if people buy feminized seeds and one goes hermie, that's on them. You know the risks when you buy fem seeds. Run enough of any type of fem seeds and you're bound to get a hermie every once in a while, that's how it goes. I don't think that's a legitimate complaint against the breeder. He does have non-fem seeds that don't herm for sale too.

I never run fem cause of the higher chance of a herm and not knocking those who do.even with regs there's the chance of a herm just not as much.swerve said people dont like him and I was refering to a fellow member who had cc (they were fems i believe) and other gear going in the same room and the cc gear hermed but none of the others did and swerve was asking about perfect growing conditions.I think that was a legitimate complaint.do a search and you'll find many more problems like that.do you hear about R.D. or other breeders having as much a problem?I do think he has great genetics thats why I got his Larry OG in regs as I previously stated.swerve get some peeps to run some of your new stuff and report back on them like rare dankness does.it would squash a lot of the haters and boost your sells to boot.swerve is not a good rep for cc,he does more harm than good from a business stand point imo.like I said I dont dislike swerve just an observation from a costumer.my apologies if I jacked up your thread.

i bought two six packs of the caliconnection's feminized larry og kush and got four insane keepers. luckily i cloned the best one and now have a mother plant for clones. i don't know why i don't hear more about the larry og by calicon as mine easily finishes within eight weeks and IS the dankest bud i have ever smoked (and i'm an old fucker) let alone grown. no shit, the taste and smell of my larry og is crazy, like when i come back into the room after taking a few bong rips i'm like who the fuck is smoking hash in my room! lol, very dank!!
